Volunteer your time:

Tabling: We have a table at PetSmart in Nanuet every Saturday and Sunday. Volunteer to man a table for a 2-hour shift to meet and greet the public, pass out information and collect donations. Email Michelle at for more info. We’ll be adding more tabling locations in the Spring. Event Committee: Join an event committee. Some events being contemplated: Pearl River Pub Crawl, Bowlathon, Tag Sale, and Dog Costume Parade. Do you have an idea for an event you would like to run? Next meeting in April 3rd at 6:30 at New City Library. Webmaster Needed: Rebuild Hi Tor needs someone to manage our website including adding/removing events, adding forms etc. Light commitment. Donation Buckets: DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE STORE OR RESTAURANT THAT MIGHT LET YOU PLACE A REBUILD HI TOR DONATION BUCKET in their place of business? Our goal is to get 300 more donation buckets out in stores throughout Rockland! Imagine how much money could be raised if we met that goal and you can help! Here's all you have to doThink of a store that you frequent and ask them if you can put a donation bucket there. You would collect the money from the bucket on a weekly basis, then write a check to 'Rebuild Hi Tor' and send it to PO Box 913, Nanuet, NY 10954. Please fill out our donation bucket form on our website under ‘Donation buckets’ and let us know your name, your email address and the name of the establishment where you will be placing your bucket so we can list you and the business on our website! AND REMEMBER; PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM OF ANY BUCKETS THAT YOU PLACE IN A LOCATION!! Dine & Donate: Come and join us at our Dine & Donates (check future newsletters for Dine and Donate Events coming up) Shelter Components: Buy a dog kennel or cat cage in our new shelter in honor or memory of a beloved pet or person in your life for everyone to see while providing a temporary area for a wonderful homeless pet while they await their forever homes! Sponsors needed for Upcoming Events To finance the rebuild we are hosting several fundraisers in the next few months. A few such events are a Bowlathon at New City Bowl, Pearl River Pub Crawl, Tag Sale at Access Storage in Congers and a Dog/Costume Walk in Nyack. We would like to ask you to be a $100.00 event sponsor. We need sponsors for t-shirts or wristbands, event refreshments, paid advertising and prizes. Please mail your check to Rebuild Hi Tor, PO Box 306, New City NY 10956. Please include your email address for receipt. Hi Tor is a 501c3 nonprofit organization; our Federal ID # is 23-7148054. All proceeds for the event to benefit Rebuild Hi Tor. You will receive a receipt for your tax deductible donation. Ongoing Fundraisers! Aunt Mia’s Sweets Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! Maria Caputo, owner of Aunt Mia’s Sweets, has added a new item to her menu. She created “Brandi’s Biscuits” in memory of her beloved Brandi. She donates fifty cents for each purchase of these gourmet doggie treats to Rebuild Hi Tor and has already raised $50.00 in one month. There is no charge to obtain the rewards card, and for each 100 points earned, Clarkstown Pharmacy will donate $5.00 to Rebuild Hi Tor.
