Her husband Alex is prominent in civic affairs in the Highland Region. The friendship with the Stoddarts began when sons Calum and John came for piping tuition. The tune is excellent for highland dancing: the phrasing follows the steps of the Sailor’s Hornpipe almost note for note. -GS
