Nos congratulamos de que esta 7a Muestra Internacional de Cine con Perspectiva de Género esté dedicada al fomento de una cultura de paz; tema de gran relevancia por el contexto de violencia e inseguridad que enfrenta nuestro país; entendiendo la paz no como la ausencia de conflicto, sino como un conjunto de valores, cuya construcción constituye una de las máximas aspiraciones de la humanidad. Para alcanzar este objetivo, es necesario el fortalecimiento de las medidas conducentes hacia la plena realización de todos y cada uno de los derechos humanos, puesto que su interdependencia e indivisibilidad implican abordar las relaciones de género que obstaculizan el encuentro e identificación de las relaciones pacíficas entre hombres y mujeres. Desde la Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos, aspiramos a que la cultura de paz sea duradera, se afiance en la sociedad y promueva valores, actitudes, y estilos de vida que rechacen la violencia y prevengan los conflictos, que fomenten la tolerancia y la igualdad entre mujeres y hombres.

We congratulate the fact that this Seventh Edition of the International Film Festival with Gender Perspective is dedicated to the promotion of a culture of peace; subject of great importance given the context of violence and insecurity that our country is facing; understanding peace not as the absence of conflict, but as the set of values, the construction of which constitutes one of human highest aspirations. In order to achieve this objective, it is imperative to strengthen the measures that conduct towards the full realization of each and every single one of the human rights, for their interdependence and indivisibility imply addressing gender relationships that hinder the encounter and identification of pacific relationships between men and women. From the National Human Rights Commission, we hold that the culture of peace will be long-lasting, will establish itself in society, and will promote values, attitudes, and lifestyles that will repudiate violence and prevent conflicts, and encourage tolerance and equality among women and men.
