Art History Capstone (Chinese Art) Through the guidance of Professor Ann Wicks (Art History) and Art Museum staff, senior Art History majors will curate an exhibition of Chinese paintings, textiles and ceramics from the permanent collection.

William McGee, Abstract Expressionist While at the Black Mountain College (summer of 1952) William McGee (1925-1999) studied with Robert Motherwell (1915-1991) and Franz Kline (1910-1962), both of whom would become major influences in his work as an abstract expressionist and color field painter. McGee’s works in this exhibition are from the Art Museum’s permanent collection and on loan from a local private collection.
