2020 Sponsorship Deck

A Message From Michael Rossi, Founder and Artistic Director Dear Esteemed Patrons, We are so honored you joined us for the sixth season of the Miami Classical Music Festival last summer. Our 2019 season brought more than 300 young artists to Miami Beach from over 25 countries for nine weeks of study and performance experiences. MCMF was pleased to introduce our new facilities on Miami Beach. As the new epicenter for training and operations, MCMF engaged in a new partnership with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools— hosting the program at Miami Beach Senior High School, which will provide facilities for daytime operations over the majority of the summer, as well as several concert and recital events. MCMF deepened its partnership with The Betsy-South Beach, its longtime host hotel, and will continue as a special concert venue for evening student performances, as it has done since the program’s inception. Temple Emanu-El and the Adrienne Arsht Center also hosted events to draw in additional diversified audiences, enriching and expanding MCMF’s reach into the region’s classical listening base. We have put tremendous thought and planning into developing accessible programs to offer even more to the community than in previous summers. Our opera productions included two Mozart classics, The Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute, Montiverdi’s L'incoronazione di Poppea, Lully’s Armide, and a double bill performance of Nico Mulhy’s Dark Sisters and Osvaldo Golijov’s Ainadamar. The MCMF Symphony Orchestra returned in our popular orchestra pops Independence Day Celebration and performed in a special performance on Lummus Park for over 5000 people with the Miami Beach Fireworks. Guest conductors Mark Gibson and Joel Smirnoff returned to conduct masterworks by Mahler and Stravinsky, with concerto soloists selected from the annual MCMF Concerto Competition. The MCMF Wagner Institute presented an epic program in its debut at the Adrienne Arsht Ziff Ballet Opera House with a full performance of Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman, with the MCMF Symphony Orchestra and Wagner Institute participants. Our Piano Institute featured three worldclass faculty artist recitals and performances from our piano participants. Filling out the season were over 50 additional chamber music performances, opera aria nights, Zarzuela and Broadway recitals, and masterclasses. fun Popups and flash mobs that blanketed the city of Miami Beach with Classical Music. I can't express how grateful we are to the City of Miami Beach and The Betsy-South Beach for giving us so much support to make these festivals possible. We've experienced unprecedented growth each season thanks to the cooperation and encouragement we've received city-wide. It gives us great pleasure to give back to our Miami communities through our work and performances.
