Mike Staiger

Fifth grade Erwine Intermediate teachers Mike Staiger and Kim DelMonico have been working with their science inclusion class on a unique project called

The Disney Planet Challenge

The project that the students have been working on is to recycle used and unwanted monofilament fishing line. The class has earned a few new pieces of technology through Disney and Donors Choose. We have received a new projector for the classroom as well as an iPod touch. The class has also used Skype to speak to people at Pure Fishing in South Carolina and Berkley Conservation Institute using our new technology. We have been able to incorporate different technology pieces such as net books for student research and flip video with documenting the students’ every move on the project.

you leave the room. Be sure not to stack papers on top of the monitor. Turn your projector off if you will not be using it for 20 minutes or longer. Right click on any folder in your email to delete all items at once. To permanently delete an item (skip sending to recycle bin or trash) hold shift while deleting. Filter Cleaning: If your projector is dim, or giving you a message to clean, put in a work order. Lost emails in your deleted folder? Make sure they’re not set to automatically delete. In Outlook >Options>Settings>Message Options> Uncheck “Empty the deleted items when I sign out.
