To the Marblehead Community, I feel very fortunate to write this opening for the Winter/ Spring 2014 brochure as the new Recreation Supervisor for the town of Marblehead. As the new guy in town, I’d like to thank everyone for welcoming me with open arms and smiles. Previous to working in Marblehead, I was the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Salem. I’m looking forward to bringing a number of new and exciting ideas and programs that will benefit residents of all ages. As we continue to move through the Winter season and look forward to Spring, I would like to build on the success of our department that continues to offer quality programs for you, the resident. In this brochure you will find a little bit of something for everyone. From sports to legos, fitness to special events there is something for everyone. I hope you will look it over and sign up for any of the great programs. We will continue to utilize our Facebook page and the town’s Notify Me Recreation Program Alerts to keep you informed of the latest Recreation and Park Department news. As you know we rely heavily on the help and support of the community including all town departments, youth organizations, coaches, volunteers, local business and Marblehead residents.
