Another year has come and gone and it’s time for new resolutions and new beginnings! When was the last time you enjoyed a stroll in the park, went on a road trip with a friend or learned a new skill? Do you remember the joy on your child’s face when they found a frog or saw their first magician? It has probably been longer than any of us care to admit but don’t worry, the Parks, Recreation and Public Works Department is here to help! Whether you and your friends like shopping, flowers, casinos or sporting events, we have a day trip for you. If you are really adventurous you’ll join us for our extremely popular “Mystery Trip” to . . . . . oh – that’s right, it is supposed to be a mystery! Remember to schedule your vacation for early September and join us for a week-long trip to Kentucky, home of “The Derby” and the “Louisville Slugger”! Don’t think about it too long though, these trips are very popular and registration is limited so call your friends and sign up today! If food, gardening or writing interests you, we have several workshops that will inspire and entertain you. For those with a more competitive streak, we have Adult Volleyball. Get your friends together and join us! The ever popular Family Fun Nights and Family Nature Series are back this season and include music, magic, dinosaurs, wildlife and even some chemistry! Who knew chemistry would be fun?! Although some sessions may require preregistration, all of these Family members of all ages enjoy our programs Family Nature Series! are free. Please check the program descriptions to make sure the event is appropriate for your child’s age. It wouldn’t be spring in the Township without our slate of special events! From the Easter Egg Hunt and Trout Rodeos to the Golf Tournament and Spring’s Savory Sampler, there is an event for every member of the family. Check out the details on pages 4 through 6. Forget those resolutions we make every year and never complete. Resolve to add QUALITY to YOUR LIFE and enjoy each and every day with your family and friends. Park Facility Rental Information Park Pavilion Rental Policy Pavilion reservations are accepted beginning in January of each calendar year. Only reservations for that calendar year will be accepted.Reservations for the 2014 Season will be accepted beginning at 8:00 am, January 15, 2014. Reservations are accepted on a “first come-first served” basis. A refundable Security Deposit of $100.00 is required for all rentals and must be paid at the time the reservation is made. Cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted as payment. A Variance Permit (for alcohol or other special permissions) is available for $30.00 per permit. Resident Discount $65.00/day

Additional portable toilets are permitted at the expense of the customer, however, the Township shall determine the delivering vendor. Residency is based on the address of the customer making the reservation. Deposits are returned to the customer listed on the permit.

ATHLETIC FACILITY RENTAL POLICY Field and court reservations will be accepted beginning January 15th, 2014. Only reservations for 2014 will be accepted. A refundable Security Deposit of $100.00 is required for all rentals and must be paid at the time the reservation is made. All registrations and payments MUST be received through the Parks & Recreation Department. Registrations will NOT be accepted at the playground sites. LEADERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORM, BEFORE A CHILD CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAMS. The first day children attend the Playground or Tot Lot Program, they will receive a parent information packet, summer schedule and T-Shirt. The Township requires a playground site to have 20 children registered by June 1, 2014 in order for the program to run so please register early. PLAYGROUND PROGRAM AGES: 8 - 13 years of age during June and July 2014. JR. PLAYGROUND PROGRAM AGES: 6 & 7 years of age during June and July 2014. The children in this program will do age appropriate activities, separate from Playground and Tot Lot. TOT LOT PROGRAM: 4 & 5 years of age during June and July 2014 NOTE: A 3-year old who will be 4 by October 1, 2014 may attend Tot Lot; however, a parent/guardian 16 yrs. and older MUST accompany and assist the child with activities during the entire session and the child MUST NOT be in diapers. Course includes 24-hours of instruction, book, strategies, and notes. Sessions focus on questiontypes that occur in math and verbal sections of the test. Students tackle practice problems and practice S.A.T. sections. Instructors provide analysis/ explanation of answers and review pertinent material/question-types.
