MARKETING CASE STUDY It’s not just your time on the field that matters. MGC Sports makes sure your time off the field makes an impact as well. BRADLEY PINION | SAN FRANCISCO 49ers At the young age of 23, San Francisco 49ers’ Bradley Pinion, a player who is dedicated to being involved in his community, was named the team’s “Walter Payton Man of the Year” Nominee, a tremendous accomplishment. By encouraging Bradley to capitalize on that platform, MGC Sports brought him to Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII, where Bradley donated his tickets to a friend with Down Syndrome. This heartwarming story was picked up by the media, showing the sports world Bradley’s true heart and passion for his friends.

While in Minneapolis, MGC Sports focused on appearances for Bradley that would leverage his community service platform and forge relationships with key stakeholders. While he participated in numerous paid marketing appearances throughout the week, MGC Sports focused on getting Bradley in front of key executives from well-known brands that play an active role in the NFL space. These include Proctor and Gamble, Dairy Management Institute, Barclaycard and Nike. Taking advantage of his Silicon Valley connections, he also met with tech startups to explore ways in which he could help the companies grow. Bradley also had the opportunity to meet with the CEO of the United Way to discuss his community involvement.

“Bradley was incredibly gracious and stayed for over an hour or more maybe talking with fans. The time he spent with us will pay dividends towards helping the CEO and CMO understand what they are making possible in each of the local communities through this partnership. He is amazing and very valuable. Our CEO loved him! We are so so grateful.” – Tracey Holmes, NFL Lead United Way

MARKETING CASE STUDY We explore your interests, talents and passions – and find ways to incorporate them into your off-field marketing experiences. THE HOLLISTER TWINS | NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS Twins Jacob and Cody Hollister, tight end and wide receiver duo for the New England Patriots, let us in on a secret talent prior to making it to Super Bowl LII – they are an amazing guitar and vocal combo. Once discovering this hidden talent, MGC Sports used their relationships to take the twins’ musical talents from the sanctuary at church to the big stage with CBS. The twins were featured in the “Most Valuable Performer” competition, hosted by Sports Illustrated and CBS, alongside 32 NFL players, including AJ Green, Fletcher Cox, Juju Smith-Schuster and Justin Tucker. Based on fan voting, the final six performers would perform live on CBS. With the help of music legend Darius Rucker, the twins blew past the competition in online voting and made their way to the live show with CBS. A social media campaign, spurred on by MGC Sports and Darius Rucker, enabled the twins to make it to the finals.

Because the Patriots played in Super Bowl LII, the Hollister twins were unable to perform on the live show; however, they were trending as one of the highest vote totals, proving themselves as strong contenders to win the competition. Word got out about the twins’ talents during Super Bowl media day, where countless media outlets highlighted the hidden musical abilities. By capitalizing on the Hollister twins’ hidden talents, there was an overwhelmingly positive response with ample media coverage, significantly increasing their marketability.
