About the Emerald City Writers’ Conference
Located in the Seattle/Puget Sound area of Washington State, the Greater Seattle chapter of RWA is on a mission to promote excellence in romantic fiction. Our goal is to help writers become published in the romance genre and to provide a place where writers (both published and unpublished) can come for growth, support and information. Over 42 percent of our membership is published. We are proud of our authors and the fact that the Northwest continues to be a hotbed of talent, with many of our members on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
Every year in the fall, our chapter holds the popular Emerald City Writers' Conference, which is currently the largest romance-writing conference on the west coast. The 2015 conference is scheduled for October 16-18, 2015, at the Bellevue Westin. Three hundred attendees are expected, including leading industry editors and agents, phenomenal speakers—including Elizabeth Hoyt, Sabrina Jeffries, and Margaret Mallory—as well as some of the industry’s top authors.
