from a movie! The contemporary interior, friendly staff and welcoming reception was a delight. The restored and reinforced ornate grey façade upon arrival had all the glamour and old-world charm one could dream of, and if only the walls could talk! I was generously picked up at the airport by one of the teammates Patrick St. Louis, the founder of Warp Solutions, is local to the area and filled me on the history of Montreal on our drive. He dropped me right on the steps of history, The Gault. With the loft-like rooms (more like a NYC size “apartment”) the suite had fabulous Bertoia chairs, vast arched windows, and a bathtub that one could stay in for days! I literally didn’t want to move from the room! hotelgault.com DINNER Culinary Delights: Venturing out for my first evening to a great restaurant I navigated a laundry list of culinary delights! The wonderful restaurant La Majestique has a vibe of where fancy meets casual. A famous chef, Charles-Antoine Crete, stayed a few months until a young chef, Dominic Lalonde. took charge of the restaurant making beautiful small dishes that will make your palette melt. Each plate was like a piece of artwork and the lively festive atmosphere, chic and hip was the perfect fit! Highly recommended – the décor is fun, funky and full of flavor! restobarmajestique.com BREAKFAST: When the next day breakfast came calling, and I had the pleasure of inviting the team to the hotel breakfast. Holly Morell (@heartfeltholly) who runs Heartfelt Cardiac Connections arrived with a large warm smile along with entrepreneur Ian Lajoie (@ianlajoie) performance and business coach (At the time I could not admit I could certainly use some coaching after all my travels and heavy workload) Holly shared her story over breakfast at Hotel Gault, a story of her survival from emergency open-heart surgery and heart disease. She was chosen as one of the 4 charities represented for the TV production. Did you know Cardiac Arrest is the number one killer in America and abroad? Her story was eye-opening and educational, as I learned Holly for over 20 years had championed efforts to raise awareness for Cardiac Arrest Screening (CAS) and continues today to push the cause forward today to save lives. The week raised money for her charity and the fundraiser continues today work toward a goal of 100,000 US. This money all goes toward future Cardiac Arrest Screening in order to save a life! You can donate directly to the charity. heartfeltscreening.org
