Penn Valley also provides students the opportunity for real-world training in the field of early childhood education. Penn Valley’s Health Science Institute is a state-of-the-art learning facility. True-to-life simulation stations provide h ands-on learning opportunities, clinical skill practice and patient care. The HSI is home to nursing and allied health career programs to support the growing needs of the Kansas City community. Student success is important at Penn Valley, and its TRiO program helps students meet their goals. It gives a select number of Penn Valley students the academic support, counseling, transfer assistance and cultural enrichment they may need in order to complete a college degree–all without cost. Project Success helps low income, first generation and disabled students who are seeking bachelor’s degrees.
