SPOTLIGHT ON SUCCESS motivating the next generation of engineers Dear Engineering for Kids of Metro Atlanta, I found out about your camp at the last minute and I am happy that I did! Nyla really enjoyed this past week and came home everyday eager to show me what she learned in camp. Thank you so much for granting her the opportunity to participate! - Simone, Nyla’s mom Mia, Andrea, Nyla 

Engineering for Kids of Metro Atlanta was awarded a grant by Women in Technology for $1,458

Scholarships were provided for 9 girls (ages 4-14) from low-income families to attend our S.T.E.M. focused summer camp with curriculum such as Survivor Engineer’s Cove and Let’s Make Toys, Jr.

Campers did varying projects like designing and programming a working video game, building rockets, planes, helicopters, making a working flashlight, building and programming LEGO® Robots

This grant increased diversity in our programs by allowing more girls, providing opportunities for children who could not afford to attend, and expanding the knowledge of S.T.E.M. education to 9 new girls Dear Engineering for Kids of Metro Atlanta, Kaidyn thoroughly enjoyed the Engineering for Kids camp this week. She was so excited to come home to tell me of all the things that she learned and what she did.

-Cheryl, Kaidyn's mom 4-7 yr olds in action
