Founded in 1994... The Church is open on Thursday and Sunday nights, although they host occasional special events other nights of the week. Inspired by Carlos Menendez and his successful long running theme night, which began in Miami′s “Velvet” nightclub, The Church provides Dallas′ most unique nightclub experience. The Miami “Church” still exists, although in a different location. The Church is located at 2424 Swiss Avenue, in Dallas′ Swiss Avenue historic district. The original building was constructed in 1899 as a trolley car repair station, and is listed in the north Texas Haunted Building Registry. Paranormal researchers have confirmed that the building is, in fact, haunted, and we occasionally experience paranormal activity. The building underwent an extensive renovation in 1974 as the Grand Crystal Palace Dinner Theater. The Video Bar is actually a seperate building, contructed in 1974, as an addition to the Crystal Palace. The Church features 5 separate lounges, 3 DJ′s, and a rooftop patio with an incredible view of the city. The musical landscape can include everything from Ambient Sounds, Neo Gothic, current and classic Industrial, EBM, Electro, Dark House, and the occasional musical “surprise.” Past lunimaries include Trent Reznor & Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Peter Hook, Andy Laplegua, Combichrist, cEvin Key, Voltaire, Rubberdoll, Torture Garden, Korn, Disturbed, Depeche Mode, Lords of Acid, Dita Von Teese, Midori, Benny Benassi, Abney Park, Fischer Spooner & Front 242...to name a few. The Church hosts unique theme parties, fashion shows and live music events, including Dallas Fetish Ball, Skin Party, Midnight Mass, Sanitarium, Gothic Beauty Pageant, Mad Hatters Ball, Black and Blue Ball, Zombie Prom and Geisha Lounge events.

THE HARD SCORE.com It seems our football world is taking hits that it hadn’t counted on. We’re talkin’ about the effect increased awareness of concussions has had on enforcement of rules. You’ve been hearing of the two main types of concussions: repetitive and hard impact trauma. Who’s more likely to get which? Down linemen receive more helmet hits than anyone else, then the running backs and linebackers, corners, tight and passing rushing ends, then receivers and safeties. The development of the modern helmet has significantly limited the number of high impact concussions, but the overall problem lies more with brain movement and that’s where the repetitive number of glancing helmet hits contribute. When you look at the studies based on the physical research of deceased players, which include not just professional, but college and, yes, high school, it shows the linemen, linebackers, and running backs are most susceptible. Let’s take our awareness a little deeper, like from where it starts, and I’ll use Texas as the example. Children start playing tackle football early, so we’re gonna look at those most affected and begin calculating from the second grade. These are club or intramural leagues. If their pre-season is two weeks and average sixty hits per week (that’s team and one-on-one drills) there’s 120 hits. Let’s say each game adds an average of 30 hits, that’s 90 per week, and say five games, that an average of 570 hits

METRO ANE

MAGAZINE

over their season. In the five years through the sixth grade that would average over 2800 glancing repetitive hits. That’s based on eight possessions of four downs per game. Those playing post season games would be averaging around three thousand. By Junior High some players have been left behind but those skilled ones are back, and that’s against increasingly larger and faster kids. Now you have school sponsored leagues with spring training, longer pre-seasons, longer practices, and more games. Maybe 350 over spring training and pre-season combined, with a five game schedule, 100 hits per week counting the games, over those two years that’s another average of 1700 repetitive hits. We’re closing in on close to five thousand of these glancing helmet hits over a seven year span. Then it’s High School, which has a passion for its football all across the land that’s unparallel by any other sport around the world. Two to three weeks of spring training. Two to three weeks of pre-season, most with two a days. Eight to ten regular season games. And playoffs. Let’s average 40 a day in spring training for just two weeks and get 400. Then the same for pre-season for another 400. Then take 9 regular season games with 30 hits a day during practice, plus another 30 for the game, totaling 180 for the week, over nine weeks averaging 1600, then add the previous 800 for a full year average of 2400 helmet to helmet glancing repetitive hits. Now over four years that’ll average out about 9600 hits. Not counting post season play.

When you add the previous totals we’re looking at close to fifteen thousand hits. And we haven’t gotten to the colligate and pro’s yet.

ball are the lack of helmets and tackling. Oh, yeah, and the massive number of repetitive glancing helmet to helmet hits.

What kind of danger? Statistically higher population with neurological pathologies that debilitate and kill.

If they did that through HS then by the time they get to college they could get into the helmets and pads and go from there, but at least they wouldn’t be carrying fifteen thousand helmet hits with them. And with their experienced use of shoulders and arms then the collegiate and pro games safety would improve, too.

Do I see any alternatives? Yes I do.

NFL – Cowboys

But first, what’s the question? It’s, do we as parents, brothers and sisters, neighbors and fans, really want to place our children and their lives at a more serious risk than others for the sake of a game?

Here’s my comments on Phillips firing: I don’t forget that he did far more with Parcell’s players than big Bill ever did. I think this team showed up to camp thinking they were already anointed the Super Bowl and when things fell apart they didn’t have the sand to gut it out. Phillips never tossed one player under the bus, but they sure as hell got him fired.

Let’s use the high school totals for the Universities four years and we’re now closing in on close to twenty five thousand hits. Not counting post season play.

No, we don’t, but we don’t want to lose the sport of football either. So, are there any solutions out there? I have at least one and it’s based upon the above statistics. Flag football. I know, about a gazillion of you just threw up but hear me out. If you have never seen or played real flag football then you have no idea what you’re thinking or talking about. The game gets about as tough as they come.

Regardless of what Jones said, Garrett got the job because it was the only way Jerry could keep the transition less confusing. There were only two choices internally for the defensive coordinator position, Pasqualoni and DeCamillis. Pasqual got it but either was a good choice.

The kids would still have to learn how to play the whole game, plus they’d learn how to block more efficiently with their shoulders, hands, and forearms. Offensively, all forms of the passing game are intact, and the running game can do sweeps or go inside the tackles.

And lest you forget, Jones is STILL the GM and while he made comments regarding the defensive effort being questionable, he never said anything about that lousy offensive line he never paid attention to and has ruined this season.

Defensively you’re attacking with shoulders, hands, and arms going right at the opponent. You can still hit, you just grab a flag, which, by the way, ain’t all that easy.

There ended up being some really good football games this week giving close calls a strong ride. The Chargers come back to take the Texans, the Falcons finally bested the Buc’s, and the Eagles

barely held off the injured Colts.

But hold on, there were three overtime thrillers: the Vikings big rally over the Cardinals, the Jets squeaking by the Lions, and, the Raiders staging an unbelievable rally and finally taking the Chiefs. The big upset of the week was the Browns knocking off the Patriots, but who really got burned in that game were the Broncos because their head coach traded running back Peyton Hillis to Cleveland for QB Brady Quinn. The Browns now have one of the league’s best running games and Denver? Well, believe it or not, they’re last in the league, even behind the pitiful Cowboys. Snap. NFL Week 10 Bye teams: Packers, Saints, Raiders, and Chargers. Thursday, Nov 11, 7:30 CST The NFL couldn’t have hoped for a better match up and we couldn’t have gotten a better seat in the house: Ravens (6-2, road 2-2) at Falcons (6-2, home 4-0). Both teams currently lead their divisions and both have previous Super Bowl winners breathing down their necks. Each is playing great on both sides of the ball. You got two QB’s who came in the league together and each took the reins in their rookie year and did well. Each suffered the sophomore struggle, but now they’ve both come back the third year showing their progression. Baltimore’s Flacco and Atlanta’s Ryan are smart and tough and have command of their offenses. Buckle up. Sunday, Nov 14 noon CST The early games are like Dallas’s offensive line: flagged for a false start. Of the seven, four couldn’t get the attention of a huntin’ dog. Lions (2-6, road 0-4) at Bills (0-8); Panthers (1-7, road 0-3) at Buc’s (5-3, home 2-2); Vikings (3-5, road 0-4) at Bears (5-3, home 2-2); and, Bengals (2-6, road 1-3) at Colts (5-3, home 3-0).

The only interest in there is to see if Favre and Childress are going to mock each other before the game, during the game, or wait til the post game smack around. This one oughta be a good ‘un because it’s a division game and they’re each only one game behind the leaders. Texans (4-4, road 2-1) at Jag’s (4-4, home 2-2). Both have secondary’s vulnerable to the pass and both have strong running games. Normally I wouldn’t have given this one much weight but this should surprise as a good game: Titans (5-3, road 3-1) at Dolphins (4-4, home 0-3). Miami’s due. Ok, this is for all the Longhorn fans and anybody who likes the Dog pound: Jet’s (6-2, road 4-0) at Browns (3-5, home 2-2). C’mon, Holmgren swore he wasn’t going to play Colt McCoy at all this year then injuries force a change now Cleveland’s playing strong and winning. 3 o’clock games CST The only reason to watch this one is if you have a sick interest in seeing if Dallas will quit in the first quarter or the second. Cowboys (1-7) at Giants (6-2, home 3-1). Regardless of their standing, this division game will be fun: Chiefs (5-3, road 1-3) at Broncos (2-6, home 1-3). Denver doesn’t have a running game and Kansas City’s a pounding machine. Ok, my friends, these two make the day, it’s the entire NFC West division. Seahawks (4-4, road 1-3) at Cardinals (3-5, home 2-1); and, Rams (4-4, road 0-3) at 49ers (2-6, home 2-2). Both Seattle and Arizona are playing better than expected, Seahawks from a new coach and staff, and Cards from loss of a Super Bowl winning QB (Warner). This one matches two great defensive minded coaches (Singletary for the Niners and Spagnuolo for the Rams) with two of the hardest hitting defense’s out there. The Rams are getting a great job out of rookie QB Bradford which has elevated the rest of the team. Troy Smith

has been playing solid. Good matchup. 7:30 game CST Oh, yes indeedy, this one is worth the wait. Don’t let your honey be trying to hold hands during this one or she won’t be able to butter your toast in the morning: Patriots (6-2, road 2-2) at Steelers (6-2, home 2-1).

New England showed some vulnerability toward the run last week when the Browns rammed it down their front, but Belichick won’t let them make that mistake twice. Brady should find some openings in Pittsburgh’s secondary. Can the Pat’s D force Ben out of his rhythm and can Pittsburgh’s D get after Tom? Let’s get it goin’. Monday Night Football Some of the drama’s been taken out of this, but it’ll still be a good play for MNF: Eagles (5-3, road 3-1) at Redskins (4-4, home 2-2). Shanahan’s got the ‘Skin’s D playing better which will have to hold Philly to give McNabb a chance. Vicks back to his old days of being a better running QB than a passing one, which is no surprise. Washington has to force the pocket from the outside and keep linebackers in to block Vick from bolting out the front. This game’s all about containment.

Readers Response: Two Dogs: That sorry Philliops got whet he desrved and you know it. Now we win. Chuck Dallas Chuck: What do you want to bet that Jones doesn’t hold the players accountable? Do you honestly think Garrett has the whole team rooting for him? The offense sure doesn’t. His play calling has been questionable at best, and it’s the worst running performance out of a Cowboys team since they were founded. Don’t kid yourself, this slide ain’t over. TD

Voted America’s #1 Adult Weekly

Two Dogs: Will Jason Garrett sill call the offense and how will Pasqualoni do as the defensive coordinator? Does Dallas stand any chance against the Giants? Falin Mesquite Falin: Garrett will have the dual role just like Wade did. Considering he’s got absolutely zero experience as head coach let alone doing both jobs, this ought to be an interesting experiment. He probably won’t do as bad as Zorn did with the ‘Skin’s, but that’s mainly because Garrett designed the offense. Pasqualoni is a very good coach so there should be a seamless transition there. It still all boils down to the players, which once a team has quit it’s extremely difficult to get that full motivation back. Any chance against the Giants? Not against that pass rush. TD

Two Dogs: I notice that Jones didn’t say much against the offense nor did he take the blame for the poor offensive line performance. I think he’s more to blame for this than anyone else. Jim Dallas Jim: He’s not to blame for this collapse but I totally agree he’s to blame for not doing squat to develop the offensive line, the defensive secondary, and as GM, not taking a discipline approach to any of the players. He talks accountability but as GM he can’t say his own decisions were wrong. He needs to let some coaches go, like QB coach Wade Wilson for one. TD Pat “Two Dogs” Snow twodogs@anemagazine.com

RUBBER DOLL As long as I can remember, I’ve always loved getting dressed up in extravagant outfits. I think it satisfies the creative side of my personality (as well as my exhibitionist tendencies). I also have always had an interest in darker themes, which led me to get involved in the gothic scene when I was younger. When I was still in high school, I would spend hours putting together my outfits and then I would sneak into the clubs with my friends and dance all night. It was really a great time and I formed a lot of my tastes and opinions then. I think it also exposed me to a lot of different lifestyles and opened my mind, which is something that has also helped bring me to where I am now. As I got a little older, a lot of my friends from the goth scene started going to fetish clubs. Since I am always up for new experiences, I decided to check them out too. And when I did, I was immediately hooked. The music

embraced each unique encounter as another step in my journey into the fetish world.

and dancing was very similar to the goth scene that I was used to, but the energy was much more sexual. But what really got me was the clothing and fashions. I was instantly attracted to the shiny latex outfits, and the way that they were so skin tight. I knew it was time for a change, so I packed away my long gothic dresses and started grabbing up fetish wear every chance I could get. Initially, I also collected a lot of PVC/ Vinyl and leather, but my first love has always been rubber. There is just something about it that other fabrics can’t compare to. I love everything about it: the smell, the shine, the feeling against my skin, the feeling of peeling it off … it’s all incredibly sensual to me.

clubs, I was now sneaking out of my parent’s house with sexy fetish outfits on underneath a big coat. I started to meet a lot of new people and my eyes

were opened to many different forms of sexuality. I experienced everything from gender bending crossdressers to strict domes to submissive sissies to bisexual swingers. I loved every new experience and

Since 2000, I have brought my kinkiest fantasies to life on the pages of my website RubberDoll.net. Sharing a bevy of twisted and tantalizing scenes with the world. But, then I decided to move to the next level and recreate those scenes live on stage. The result is tabooshattering live performances that combine the pretty, the pervy and the profane. If you’d like to see your favorite fetish scenes come to life right before your

eyes, then don’t miss me when I come to town! See me at The Church in Dallas this weekend, November 12th, 13th. www.rubberdoll.net www.myspace.com/rubberdoll www.facebook.com/pages/RubberDoll/99484008393

“Every genre of entertainment has their superstars and the Fetish community is no exception. When it comes to modeling and performing, one name stands out like no other: Kumimonster.” Allen Falkner www.allenfalkner.com Kumi from her website bio” I’ll start with the basics first. I’m half Korean from my mother’s side and my father’s family hails from Ireland. I like to say that I’m part Kim Chee and the other part is Whisky. I think that’s accurate. I’m California born and raised except for a quick year spent in France for high school and some jaunts off to

Europe and around North America. After graduating high school, I decided to attempt college for a bit but realized that at the time it just wasn’t for me. There was a world of nightclubs and parties and I wanted to be a part of that lifestyle! I decided to get greedy. I found myself being able to experience new things and see new sights that couldn’t be found in any old school book. I also discovered a new fond friend - latex. From wearing shiny PVC (more readily available in mainstream shops at the time) I made the switch to rubber. My favorite local women’s leather shop (Stormy Leather) kept me stocked with outfits of my favorite fabric while I, in exchange, performed for them in fashion shows and such appearances. Soon, I was then introduced to a woman who was about to start up her own custom latex company and I just had to be a part of it! What more could a girl want than to dress up in custom fitted and designed pervy fetish fashions? It pretty much went from there; shoots, fashion shows, gallery shows with photogra-

phers, traveling. I’ve been able to work with great photographers that are also great friends. They in turn have introduced me to other wonderful models that were and are great to work with as well. There are so many fetishes out there and varying degrees of obsession. What I’ll be including in this site are the things I enjoy doing and the facets that I enjoy the most. Latex is what I can appreciate the most but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a decent amount of leather in my wardrobe or PVC for that matter. After all, those fabrics are a bit more sturdier than latex for particular scenes. ; ) The other things I enjoy are stockings. I love taking new ones out of the package knowing that the perfect things are about to lose the pristine quality that all new things have. I love the feel of them sliding on and the placement of the heel and back seam. Of course, they’re just as much fun to take off. Hmmm rope. What should I say about rope besides the fact that I love being the canvas that’s used when it’s done well. I like the feeling being restrained by it gives and more than anything the support when I’m suspended. Pretty colored rope is nice but i prefer hemp and jute in natural fibres over all the nylon. And don’t forget the smell and feeling of hemp against bare skin, that’s just a part of it too. I’ve been lucky. I’ve been having fun like this for about 10 years now. OK fine. If you must know my birthday

falls on St. Paddy’s Day (17 March) and I was born in 1970, the year of the dog. I still enjoy being able to do shoots while incorporating the things I enjoy without compromise and without exception, and most importantly making sure everyone has FUN! Home of alternative, fetish, and glamour model MOSH. I started modeling in 2006 and am now a fulltime freelance model and occasional performer. I love modeling fetish, alternative, glamour, and almost everything in between. The very first genre I picked to model was alternative. I say it was alternative because it wasn’t regular fashion, it wasn’t beauty, and it certainly wasn’t glamour. It was a mix-and-match look that I composed myself using “unusual” elements that I found incredibly interesting. Nobody could ever give me a solid definition of what alternative modeling was, and that’s what I loved about it. Its anything you want it to be. When in

comes to my own shoots, thats the way I like it. In fact, that’s the only way I’ll have it ;)
