Partnership 4 Kids’ mission is to mentor kids for college today and careers tomorrow.
ARTNERSHIP 4 KIDS (P4K) provides mentoring-based program services to disadvantaged youth in Douglas County, and is embedded in 22 Omaha Public Schools and a variety of post-secondary institutions. P4K serves nearly 6,100 students, grades pre-K through college, 91% who are living at or below poverty level.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES: Contribute gifts of cash, securities, real estate, employee match or through a bequest Donate in-kind gifts or services Sponsor a school or a student event such as a college visit, a career tour, family festival or year-end celebration Become a “Bike to Success” sponsor, and reward a deserving student with a new bike with helmet and lock Become a “College Care Package” sponsor, giving a first-generation college student a great start Attend and support agency fundraising events
Today, P4K is comprised of a comprehensive youth mentoring model intentionally focused on education, goal-setting and relationship objectives, which begins in prekindergarten and continues through college. Each program step on the P4K Pathway builds upon the elements of the prior program step — becoming richer and more in depth as the child proceeds through the pathway, which consists of: • Book Buddy Program (reading readiness — grades pre-K and kindergarten) • Elementary School Goal Achievement Program (goal-setting proficiency in the areas of reading and life skills with an introduction to the concept of college — elementary students)

• Middle School Group Mentoring Program (group mentoring, leadership, community service, career and college exploration — grades 6-8)

These partner programs strengthen our collaborative efforts and increase crossagency resources without duplicating services.
