Summary Euro ID exhibition and ID World International Congress, which were for the first time co-located in Frankfurt am Main from 5 – 7 November 2013, have set last year its importance for the industry. The concept that combines practical solution statements and theoretical knowledge alike, is unique in Europe in this form. It is the meeting point for all those who deal in their company with identification. In addition to lectures and panel discussions, the event provided further highlights for the visitors: Guided visitor tours, ID Awards, Plenary Session, CEO Vision as well as Tracking & Tracing Theatre. Strong growth* The move from Berlin to Frankfurt am Main proved to be a good decision to enable 93 exhibitors and thus a growth of 12 % compared to the previous year. The percentage of international exhibitors (24.7 %) and visitors (31.2 %) underlines the international importancy this event embodies. With 1,328 visitors, the exhibition registered a successful start. The figures reflect the high professional level of the event and the importance of identification as a fast-growing industry. Best prospects for 2014* The exhibitors were very satisfied with the event and with the combination of the two events Euro ID and ID World International Congress. More than 70 % of the exhibitors plan to come back for 2014. Most of the exhibitors were very happy with the outcome of maintaining their contacts and networking possibilities.

The contentment amongst the visitors is widely spread as 74.4 % plan to come back for Euro ID 2014 and 76.8 % would recommend visiting the event overall.

The Conference The 12th ID World International Congress was co-located with the Euro ID tradefair for the first time. At this three day conference, decision makers and international experts, among them many government representatives, discussed technologies and social aspects of RFID, biometrics, smart cards and data collection. The event was held under the patronage of the German Ministry of the Interior and endorsed by the European Commission.

Euro ID and ID World Int. Congress 2013 – Highlights African Delegation Identification technology is key for African countries, and Investors are looking for government bodies from Africa. Therefore African government representatives and key decision makers within the ID technology came to Frankfurt under the African Government & Diplomat program. Of these, both the exhibitors and the African guests have benefited. African Delegation 2013

Guided visitor tours – informative and free Visitors used their exhibition visit at its best and took part in guided visitor tours with the team of the Institute for Industrial Management of RWTH Aachen. Various booths were visited and visitors learned first hand about the products displayed by the exhibitors.

CEO Vision and Plenary Session By combining Euro ID Exhibition and ID World International Congress the visitors and exhibitors had free access to the Plenary Session and CEO Vision for the first time and talked to the CEO Vision discussion in detail with the panel discussion participants. Euro ID and ID World Int. Congress 2013 – Highlights Get-together – Networking Highlight After the first exhibition day had passed, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH invited all exhibitors, speakers and conference participants to the Get-together party. In this relaxed and cheerful atmosphere the exhibitors, speakers and conference participants were able to celebrate the first successful exhibition day in Frankfurt. Get-together 2013

Exhibition forum – versatile, up-to-date and applicable Euro ID offered panel discussions and lectures in the exhibition hall. 28 lectures and 6 panel discussions attracted visitors on all three days. With topics relating to cards, optical ID and RFID visitors were given a comprehensive overview of the latest trends and services. The moderators Prof. Dr. Frank Gillert, (Technische Fachhochschule Wildau), Jan Phillip Denkers, (Verlag & Freie Medien), Wolf-Rüdiger Hansen, (AIM-D e.V.), Max Snijder, (European Biometrics Group), Dr. Jörg Schmidt, (Infineon Technologies AG) and Steffen Zimmermann, (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Produkt- und Know-how-Schutz) delivered with their panel discussions fascinating insights into the issues in the industry.

Tracking + Tracing Theatre – ID at work The Tracking + Tracing Theatre (T+TT) offers a live scenario demonstrating the cross-sector application of ID technologies for intra and intercompany procedures. Several times a day the visitors were led through the T+TT to find out more about the interaction between technology, software systems and business processes as part of a real life demo process. »From this visitors won new insights into the potential benefits of ID technologies and learned more efficiently implement the requirements in their companies,« explains Wolf-Ruediger Hansen, CEO of AIM-D, Lampertheim.
