These Pandas are not your cuddly, bamboo-munching varieties but rather very stylish city cars, in a choice of colours and on special offer while stocks last! ROAD TEST ● PGO CÉVENNES
Blend of beauty, reliability and great driving dynamics ACROSS the channel, a small French company called PGO, based near Nimes in the South of France, is building cars that combine retro looks with bang up-to-date mechanicals. Their car is the PGO Cévennes. At first glance, it’s obvious that the Cévennes is an homage to the Porsche 356 of the 1950’s. There’s the rakish screen, the rear (well, midmounted) engine, and many other details, but closer
inspection reveals more – the interior is trimmed in soft high quality leather and boasts air con, the tail lights display modern LED bulbs and the wheels are alloy. Could the Cévennes be the perfect blend of beauty, reliability and great driving dynamics? Sitting behind the wheel, the good feeling continues; electric windows, CD player and a full array of instruments are all present. The supportive, leather-clad
seats are top notch quality and have good adjustment. PGO have certainly spent some money making this car feel special.
