Mayor’s Message We
provide our Recreation Guide three times a year to inform our citizens of the physical, social and educational activities that our Department of Recreation & Facilities and other community organizations offer. We do this to make our citizens aware of all the wonderful opportunities this community has to offer.
We strive to provide our citizens with accessible facilities and inclusive programming that offer clean, safe, healthy and friendly environments to nurture everyone’s self-growth.
It is through leisure activities that individuals connect and create a community. We strive to foster these connections by providing welcoming environments that enable our citizens to create a community we are all proud of.
We’d like to thank our dedicated staff and sponsors for their continued efforts and support in providing our citizens with a variety of affordable activities that encourage all to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
We believe that by working co-operatively, with like-minded community-oriented organizations, we can achieve greater measures of success in delivering the quality of life that Merrittonians come to expect.
Sincerely, Neil L. Menard ~ Mayor, City of Merritt
Please contact our Department of Recreation & Facilities to: • Inquire about our programs and facilities; • Provide us feedback on our services; or • Offer your skills, knowledge and abilities to your community by becoming a program instructor. • Connect you with organizations that offer programs and opportunities that meet your needs.
