JUDITH LUCY VS MEN Judith Lucy is single again…and 50. She recently reflected on her entire history with men and concluded that maybe it was time to shut up shop. “Whatever it is that I’m selling, a lot of straight guys simply aren’t that interested in buying it and I’m including people like my father.” In amongst exploring stereotypes and her own desires, Judith will recount her full history with the opposite sex and leave it up to the audience to determine whether she should ever date again. ARCHIE ROACH RETURNS TO WOLLONGONG WITH A NEW LIVE ALBUM

STRUT & FRET IN ASSOCIATION WITH SELECT MUSIC PRESENT

ARCHIE ROACH Australian singer-songwriter Archie Roach emerged in the early ‘90s when his ARIAwinning debut album, Charcoal Lane, was named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s Top 50 albums of 1992. It centred around Archie’s heart-breaking masterpiece, Took the Children Away: a deeply affecting ballad about his own experience as one of the Stolen Generations of First Nations children. The song went on to receive a Human Rights Achievement Award; the first time such an honour had been bestowed upon a songwriter. Archie’s career has since spanned three decades. His work has been recognised locally and internationally. He has shared the stage with some of the world’s most iconic artists, including the late Leonard Cohen, Rodriguez, Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman, Billy Bragg, Paul Simon, Joan Armatrading, Suzanne Vega and Patti Smith. At The Spiegeltent, Archie will be performing songs from his new 3 CD box set of recent live shows, Into the Bloodstream 2012; Let Love Rule 2016 and Dancing With My Spirit 2018, marking the first time Archie has released recordings of his live concerts.

MOJO JUJU NATIVE TONGUE

Native Tongue is a fitting title for the third studio album from Mojo Juju and it is her very essence laid bare. It is raw, honest, emotional and intrinsically political. It is also brutal and relentlessly real. Since cutting her teeth and making a name for herself on the Australian touring circuit in the late 2000s, Mojo Ruiz de Luzuriaga, a.k.a Mojo Juju, has been many things to many people. She's been a troubadour, a soothsayer, a shapeshifter and a darn good songwriter. Now, she has decided to just be the story. Native Tongue is exactly that; through the telling of family history and her own personal experiences, Juju explores her relationships with Elders and Ancestry and how that informs her own identity.
