“Many of us are struggling and grieving the loss of “normal.” How long will this last? Will we be ok? Maybe you’re wrestling with anxiety, or loss of motivation, or illness and death have now touched you personally through this crisis. I want you to know that you are not alone, and our church is with you. … And remember the great promise from 1 Peter 5:7, ‘Cast all of your anxiety on him because he cares for you.’” EUGENE LEE, EXECUTIVE PASTOR OF CAMPUSES

OUTREACH AND MISSIONS

GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS We provide financial, relational, and spiritual support to global non-profit, faithbased organizations. We also work with some of them to organize trips that support their mission.

LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS We provide financial, relational, and spiritual support to local non-profit, faith-based organizations. In addition, we connect our congregants with their organizations as volunteers, especially through Serve Your City.

SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS A few times a year, we offer opportunities for people to serve together in a different culture. Through serving on these trips, people often find their own lives transformed and enjoy deeper engagement in their spiritual practice or missional life. We provide the structure, connections, and parameters of the trip; the people who serve on the trip raise money for or pay for the trip costs.

MEMBERS IN MISSION We provide financial, relational, and spiritual support to people who have called Menlo Church their home church and now travel near and far as missionaries. We also work with some of them to organize trips that support their mission.

SERVE YOUR CITY Two to three times a year, we organize events where people can serve at projects throughout the Bay Area. We offer a variety of projects for all ages, skill levels, and interests. Together, we serve and see God bring hope, strength, and joy to each other and those around us. It’s our hope that after serving with us, people will continue to serve their community on their own or through our local partners.

“In the midst of change exists a choice. A choice of how to receive and react to our surroundings. It wouldn’t take much effort to come up with a short list of reasons to be discontent; in fact, it would be far easier to choose fear or frustration over peace and pleasure. But my decision to trust God in the midst of the storm is a choice and in that choice I have found confidence and have been given glimpses of hope.” MATT SUMMERS, SOUTH CITY CAMPUS PASTOR
