I STANFORD 14/15 Nestor Martin’s cast iron is renowned worldwide for its exceptional quality. Since the beginnings of our first foundry in 1854, our production process has always been at the avant-garde. Moreover, our cast iron is made with 95% recycled materials, in keeping with our commitment to protect the natural environment. The Stanford series is a fresh, modern take on the cast-iron stove. Rounded lines gracefully outline the robust castings, which subtly hide the technical advances concealed within. The Stanford 14 is a conventional flue stove, designed for use with a traditional chimney; the Stanford 15 is a balanced flue stove which offers a wide range of venting possibilities, where an existing chimney is not a requirement. Both come with a satin black enamel finish, and an optional matching plinth is available to complement your stove.

I STANFORD 24/25 Equipped with a state-of-the-art gas burner, the Nestor Martin stoves offer a truly realistic impression of a wood fire, combined with high fuel efficiency and the convenience of consistent heat output. The Nestor Martin stoves are designed to efficiently burn either propane or natural gas. They have been tested to meet the strictest standards of performance, safety and emissions for both gas types. A subtle alloy makes Nestor Martin’s cast iron particularly resistant and smooth, allowing for perfect porcelain enameling. As part of our unique, double porcelainising process, the glass finish is fired into the iron at 800°C, offering a deep, lustrous and long-lasting finish. The standard finish on both the Stanford 24 and Stanford 25 is satin black enamel. A matching plinth is available as an option.

Nestor Martin’s Ceramic Burner

Breaking New Ground in Gas Combustion Technology

Installation Options Conventional Flue Installations (Stanford 14/24) A natural vent appliance (also known as B-vent or conventional flue) must be connected to a traditional masonry chimney or factory-built metal chimney. This type of stove draws the air needed for combustion from inside the room. To burn efficiently, this may require an air supply drawn from an external source, such as an air vent.

Balanced Flue Installations (Stanford 15/25) Balanced flue appliances (also known as direct-vent or d-vent) do not require a conventional chimney. The vent pipe can pass horizontally through an outside wall or vertically through the roof. If need be, the balanced flue models may equally be vented through a traditional masonry chimney. In sum, the balanced flue system offers a myriad of installation options.

Nestor Martin introduces the 100% ceramic burner, a true breakthrough in gas stove combustion technology. A standard feature of our new gas stove collection, this internationally-patented burner offers an extremely realistic flame effect, outstanding efficiency as well as long-term durability. Flickering yellow flames, varied in height and naturally-dispersed across the entire surface of the burner, atop red glowing logs and embers offer an effect so convincing, you’d swear it’s a natural wood fire. The entirely ceramic gas burner is more resistant to leakage, corrosion and deformation over time than full steel or steel-based ceramic burners. The elasticity of its vacuum-formed refractory ceramic material allows the burner to retain its heat resistant properties without warping, withstanding even the most extreme temperature variations. By conserving its original shape, it maintains its high efficiency even after long-term use. The robust structure of the ceramic burner offers increased radiant heat through the stove’s window glass, with less heat under the stove on the valve, receiver and battery, resulting in longer life for each of the stove’s electronic components. 8

Conventionally vented gas stoves draw the air needed for combustion from inside the room, often requiring an air supply drawn from an external source, such as an air vent. Conversely, Nestor Martin’s direct vent system allows the flue gasses to be expelled and the fresh air needed for combustion to enter the appliance via two concentric flue pipes. The outer pipe delivers intake air to the fire, while the inner pipe expels the exhaust. Because the combustion air is drawn directly from outside, the stove is not dependent on the atmospheric conditions in the home to function correctly. Therefore, no supplemental air vents are necessary. Also, because the combustion chamber is sealed and fed only with outside air, it helps preserve indoor air quality and prevents negative air pressure problems. 9

Outstanding Features Choice of Fuels Each stove in the Nestor Martin range is capable of burning either natural gas or propane (LPG). With a simple conversion kit, it can easily be converted to burn either type of fuel. The Convenience of Gas

Optional Remote Control Programmable thermostatic remote control is an optional feature of every Nestor Martin gas appliance, so the tempo of the fire will intensify or slow down at the touch of a button, or at a pre-set time. This feature allows the gas stove to be set on low fire for the night, and turn itself up automatically thirty minutes before it’s time to wake up in the morning, for example.

100% Ceramic Burner The Nestor Martin stoves are equipped with a revolutionary, entirely ceramic gas burner, which offers a highly realistic flame effect as well as long-term durability. The stoves are also delivered with ceramic logs and glowing ember cubes to enhance the look of the fire.

Cast-Iron Heat Deflector The combustion chamber of the Nestor Martin gas stoves is fitted with a hefty cast-iron panel to ensure thorough combustion and maximum heat retention, resulting high efficiency and low operating costs.

As a choice of fuels, gas – both natural and propane – offers outstanding efficiency and a reliability which is unrivalled. No ashes to empty, no wood to cut and store. At the touch of a button, radiant heat and a lively flame will warm your home for a lifetime. For added convenience, an optional remote control is available, which allows you to command flame height at a distance; the stove responds immediately to changes in temperature settings. The remote control also acts as a thermostat and allows you to program a desired temperature at a set time. The Nestor Martin gas stoves require very little maintenance to function properly, allowing you to heat for an entire season without even opening the stove door. Moreover, they require no electricity, so even during a power failure you are assured even, consistent heat. No effort has been saved to make every Nestor Martin completely safe. One hundred percent of our gas stoves and inserts are flame tested in our factory to ensure quality, so that you may enjoy their radiant warmth in total peace of mind.

Working Door Nestor Martin gas stoves have a working door to facilitate cleaning and maintenance, while maintaining a perfect seal for air tightness.

Nestor Martin’s stoves have been approved to the strictest efficiency and emissions standards CE, HR+ and CSA.
