The Bulls are 2-3 in league play to sit tied with the U of M. USF is led offensively by Sharla Passariello who has six goals and three assists for 15 points. Olivia Chase and Cristin Granados have each added four goals and Demi Stokes has three scores. In goal, Christiane Endler has seen the majority of action on her way to posting a 1.03 goals-against average with 54 saves and four clean sheets. THE SERIES WITH USF Friday’s match will be the 10th meeting between Memphis and USF and first since 2004. USF leads the series 7-2 and has shutout the Lady Tigers in six of the seven victories. SCOUTING UCF Entering the weekend, UCF is the lone unbeaten in league play with a 4-0-1 mark. The Knights are unbeaten in their last 11 games dating back to a 1-0 overtime loss to Florida State. UCF is led by Tatiana Coleman who has eight goals and a pair of assists for 18 points. Freshman Lena Petermann has six goals and three assists while Kayla Adamek has added five goals and two assists. UCF is averaging nearly 2.50 goals per game while holding their opposition to 0.60. In goal, Lianne Maldonado has three shutouts in 1113 minutes to go with 34 saves and a 0.65 goalsagainst average. ROC-TOBER Since the 2006 season, Memphis sports a 41-13-7 record in the month of October. In fact, the U of M has won 17 of its last 27 matches in October (17-6-4). Overall, Memphis is 85-69-8 with 45 clean sheets in the month of October. Head Coach Brooks Monaghan sports a 63-41-6 record in October and the team has 38 shutouts. OH! CANADA A quick glance at the 2013 roster and you’ll see that Canada is represented greatly with nine players calling the country home. Ever since assistant coach Jodi Grant donned the Blue and Gray in the inaugural 1995 season, the U of M has had one or more Canadians on the ledger. This season marks the most Canadians, breaking the previous best of eight in 2012.

HISTORY MADE As a member of a new league, Memphis has been part of making history this season. In week one, the Lady Tigers logged the first victory over an SEC opponent with the thrilling 2-1 overtime win. Week two saw Valerie Sanderson record the first-ever hat trick by an American Athletic Conference player. September 23 saw Sanderson become the first player in league history to be named the Offensive Player of the Week twice in the same season.

THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER When scoring three or more goals in a match, the U of M carries a 97-6-2 record all-time. Under head coach Brooks Monaghan, Memphis is 76-3-2. Since 2006, the Lady Tigers are 49-0-2 when netting three or more goals in a game. Memphis’ last loss when scoring three or more goals came at the 2005 Conference USA Tournament against UTEP (4-5). DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS Since the 2007 season, the Lady Tigers defense has helped the U of M to an 98-5-6 when opponents score one or fewer goals. In that same span, Memphis has 67 shutouts. MONAGHAN RAISES THE BAR Head Coach Brooks Monaghan inherited the Lady Tiger soccer program in 2000 as a program that had one winning season (11-10-1, 1997). Monaghan is in his 14th year with a career record of 166-99-16. BOUNCE BACK Since 2002, Memphis carries a 41-21-4 record following a loss. A closer look has the Lady Tigers at 226-2 following a loss since the 2007 season. Of the 41 wins after loss, 27 have come via shutouts.
