TIGERS SUCCESS IN THE CLASSROOM • December 14, 2013, capped off an amazing calendar year for the Tigers off the court. • On that day, the ninth and 10th players to earn their bachelor’s degrees in the 2013 calendar year walked at December commencement. • Joe Jackson participated in December commencement. MEMPHIS’ 10TH SEASON AT FEDEXFORUM • The 2013-14 season was the 10th for the Tigers at FedExForum. • Memphis is playing on a redesigned floor in its 10th season at FedExForum. The floor has a larger leaping Tiger M logo along with the city of Memphis skyline and bridge. • Memphis opened play at its current homecourt in the 2004-05 campaign. nine newbies most since 1972-73 • The Tigers have nine newcomers with seven freshmen and two transfers on its 2013-14 roster. • The nine newcomers are the most for a Memphis squad since the 1972-73 season. That squad had 10 newcomers, and many of those were available because 1972-73 was the first season of freshmen eligibility. • That 1972-73 Memphis team advanced to the NCAA title game.

TIGERS IN ELITE ATTENDANCE GROUP • When it reached the 4-million mark for home attendance in the 21st century Jan. 4 versus Cincinnati, Memphis became only the fifth NCAA Division I school to do so.
