The Tigers are 6-0 on the road in Conference USA. • Prior to the setback, the Tigers were the nation’s last team with an undefeated road record. • However, this is not the first time that the Tigers were the nation’s last team to remain undefeated in road games. In 2005-06, Memphis was col-

lege basketball’s last unbeaten road team, going 10-0 until an early March loss at UAB. • Prior to the Feb. 26 loss, Memphis also had the nation’s longest road win streak at 11 straight. MORE ON TIGERS’ ROAD SUCCESS/ ROAD WINS IN C-USA SINCE 2005-06 • Everyone knows how tough the Tigers are at home in Conference USA play since the league realigned in 2005-06. • Memphis is 72-3 (.960 winning percentage) in C-USA games at FedExForum since 2005-06, and the record includes both regular season and tournament games. • Well, the Tigers aren’t too bad in their C-USA road games over that same period of time. • Memphis has a 52-10 C-USA road record (.839 winning percentage; includes regular season and tournament games) since 2005-06. • Of the 10 league road losses since 2005-06, four were single-digit setbacks. • To take it further, the Tigers’ 52 C-USA road wins since 2005-06 are more than 10 of the 11 other league schools’ home wins in C-USA play (UTEP’s 53 home wins are one more than Memphis’ 52 road wins): Since 2005-06 (C-USA Games Only) Road Wins Home Wins Memphis...............52 UTEP.....................53 Tulsa......................47 Houston.................43 Southern Miss.......43 UAB.......................43 UCF.......................43 Marshall.................40 Tulane....................28 SMU......................25 East Carolina.........23 Rice........................15 TIGERS’ TOUGH “D” ON THE ROAD • Memphis has played well on the road, and it’s seen in the Tigers’ 7-1 road record this season (6-0 road mark in C-USA play). • A key to Memphis’ road success is that it turns up the defensive intensity in games away from FedExForum and the following shows that: Overall Games Defensive Stat Home Road FG Pct. TIGERS THIRD TO WIN NO. 350 IN 21ST CENTURY • With its win over Houston Feb. 20, Memphis became the third program at the NCAA Division I level to win 350 games in the 21st century. The Tigers now have 351 victories since 200001. • Duke (382 wins) and Kansas (382 wins) are the other two programs with 350 or more victories since 2000-01. “G” FOR A KEY THREEEEEE! • Junior Geron Johnson, who is called “G” by his coaches and teammates, has hit only 27 three-pointers, but some have come at key times for the Tigers and the following details them: Xavier/Feb. 16 (64-62 loss) • With the Tigers down 41-33, Johnson hit three treys in a 17-8 run over a four-minute span to give Memphis a 50-49 lead with 6:27 left. Marshall/Feb. 16 (71-59 win) • After the Herd cut a 43-26 Tigers’ halftime lead to 46-41, Johnson hit a trey at the 10:30 mark of the second half to halt the Marshall run. Johnson’s three-pointer started a 10-2 spurt that stretched the lead back to double digits. Southern Miss/Feb. 9 (89-76 win) • After a Southern Miss 7-0 run late in the first half that cut the Memphis lead from 42-32 to 42-39, Johnson hit a three-pointer to halt the Golden Eagles’ spurt and help Memphis to a 4739 halftime lead.

• After Southern Miss cut the Memphis lead to 65-61 with 9:12 left in the second half, Johnson nailed a trey to start a 7-2 run to push the lead back to nine at 72-63. SMU/Feb. 6 (60-52 win) • After SMU cut a 34-22 Memphis lead to 45-40 with under five minutes to play, Johnson hit a three-pointer with 4:12 to go to push the lead back to eight at 48-40. The closest the Mustangs got the rest of the way was six points. Tennessee/Jan. 4 (85-80 win) • After the Volunteers sliced a 42-28 Memphis halftime lead to 66-60 with under seven minutes to go, Johnson swished a three-pointer to extend the lead to nine at 69-60. • After Tennessee scored back-to-back baskets to cut the lead to 69-64, Johnson hit a secondstraight trey from the same spot to push the Memphis advantage back to 72-64. MOST WINS FIRST FOUR YEARS • Of course, head coach Josh Pastner will pass on credit to the current players, former players, current assistant coaches, former head coaches and, yes, even Tiger Nation. • But, the fact is Pastner is the winningest head coach in Tigers hoops history for the first four years. • After the 2011-12 campaign, Pastner had 75 wins, the most victories by a Tigers head coach in his first three years. • The following shows the head coaches’ win totals for their first four seasons since 1949: Head Coach Josh Pastner** John Calipari Larry Finch Gene Bartow Wayne Yates Bob Vanatta Dana Kirk Eugene Lambert Dean Ehlers Moe Iba

ANOTHER 20 IN THE BOOKS • With its 89-76 victory over Southern Miss Feb. 9, Memphis recorded another 20-win season. The Tigers current overall record is 24-3. • This year’s 20-win season is the Tigers’ schoolrecord, 13th-consecutive, 20-win campaign. • The following shows the top-five longest streaks of 20-win seasons in Tigers history: Consec. 20-Win Seasons Yrs. 13........................................... 2001-13 8............................................ 1982-89 3............................................ 1975-77 2..................................... 4 different spans (1995-96, 1992-93, 1972-73, 1956-57)
