I asked my father one time whether he took calculus in high school. I was curious because so many of today&#39;s schools push advanced mathematical subjects younger and younger in the curriculum. &quot;I never even heard of calculus until after I graduated from high school,&quot; he said. Poor man. If only he&#39;d had some of the advantages of today&#39;s students, maybe he could have achieved something in life.
