February Staff Member of the Month
Simple Truth Award
Olivia McPherson, Assistant Pastry Chef We congratulate Olivia for being named February Staff Member of the Month! She has been holding down the fort in the Pastry department while our Executive Pastry Chef Lauren was on maternity leave. Our Culinary Team has not missed a beat with her at the helm! Olivia has created wonderful desserts in À la Carte and at special events including our Wine Dinners. She embodies our Simple Truth as she is always willing to help and go above and beyond to make our members smile. She is a team player and is very much appreciated by not only our Culinary Team, but the BCC Team as a whole! Way to go Olivia on the well-deserved award!
Dominic Kalwa, Assistant Restaurant Manager Lauren Thurston, Events Manager We congratulate Lauren and Dominic for receiving the Simple Truth Award! These individuals truly embodied the Simple Truth when they worked together to create a memorable birthday cake presentation for one of our members! The member’s family ordered a Star Wars themed cake to be presented while dining in À la Carte. To help make this surprise one for the books, Lauren ordered a Storm Trooper costume for Dominic to wear as he brought the cake out to the family. To say that this family (and everyone dining in the Terrace Room) thoroughly enjoyed the surprise, is an understatement! Thank you to Lauren and Dominic for going above and beyond to create this memorable birthday moment!
