Alex was a professional athlete (swimmer) for the past 8 years and he is now currently the state coach for Sabah. He had also given multiple motivational talks to the clubs, schools and sport teams.

ACHIEVEMENT • 1996 - 3 golds in Sukma, Pahang (2 national racord in 100m and 200m bachstroke)
