Youth Services PreSchool and Little Ones

On October 6th, 2012, fans will come together to celebrate reading and Star Wars at the Melrose Park Library! This program includes games, trivia, giveaways, snacks, and a chance to win great Star Wars prizes. For the whole family! Storytime Join us each week for songs, rhymes, and lots of great books in our storytimes. Then stay for a craft – kids will make a treasure to take home! All families with children 5 years old or younger are invited to attend. Registration is required. Thursday mornings from 10:00-10:45 a.m. October 11th through November 1st (No Storytime October 4th)

Kids Art A craft program just for our smallest patrons! Get ready for some paint, glitter, and more! Join us as we share a story and then complete a tie -in craft. Growing Reader Storytime Designed to prepare and encourage children to become better readers. For the first half of the program, we will have group storytime. For the second half of the program there will be several activity stations where children can practice different reading skills. Ages 3-7, registration is required. Teen Movie Scare-a-Thon Join us for a scary movie marathon at the library! We’ll be watching the films that you voted on throughout the month of October – all films will be rated PG-13 or less. For teens in grades 7-12 and registration is required. Thursday, October 25: 4-8

Teen Scene Every month, come to the library for “Teen Scene” – we’ll be making crafts, playing games, creating snacks, and talking about how the library can better serve teens!
