Paul F. Stone was born at 714 N. 14th Avcnue, on FebI'uary 4, 1913 in Meb'ose Par!,:, 111., where he was raised and educated. At the age of 17 years he conducted his first band whose inh'oductory performance was befol'e the St. Paul's school of Melrose Park, in the yeal' 1930, On April 21, 1930 he marl'ied Miss Louise 'Vhetstone of MelI'ose Park, Illinois. He opened a studio at 1716 Lake str'eet in 1936. The ages of the children in the band range fl'om 6 to 17 years. The band has played in the Chicagoland Music Festival seven times holding 4th place in the festival six times. At pl'esent they hold 4th place. The band has played approximately 150 performances in the past 3 , years. The Mi ses Joan and Janet Evans, twin majol'ettes, are but six years old, the youngest in the country.
