About Moi

Creative...technical...organized... The combination of these elements is what drew me to the design field and is also what has captivated my attention. It is not often that one finds an opportunity in life to express themselves through a profession that mirrors their personal strengths and passions - I feel I am one of the lucky ones who has. I bring experience from a diverse range of life and work adventures to all areas of my life. I have had the opportunity to travel extensively to places such as Dubai and Afghanistan, perform to crowds of thousands and work in variety of business settings with people of many different cultures and backgrounds. As a trained dancer and acrobat I have spent many years perfecting a technical discipline which emphasizes the creativity and aesthetic of line, form, shape and color. It is this training and artistic expression which I now realize in the field of interior design. As a designer I have a passion for creating interior spaces that are fashionably functional by incorporating modern conveniences with sleek, polished, and classic design. I approach every project with the intent to positively impact the experience of the end user no matter how big or small the task. I enjoy a challenge and thrive when presented with a space that requires thinking outside the box and critical problem solving. With every design I strive to create environments that evokes energy through pleasing aesthetics built upon a foundation of inventive space planning, flow and function. Incorporating the fundamentals of sustainability and integrated universal design into each project in such a way that the user is unaware of these features has become a personal challenge to myself as a designer.

design is a dream, realized in concept & implemented to affect positive change in the lives of those who experience it.

A Village in the City

Residential, Business, Community

Target Demographic A Brief Description....

what’s inside?

The following outlines the details of Vicus (latin for village), a proposed project which provides a solution to the ever growing hurdles facing residents and businesses in the City of Kelowna. It addresses the concerns of local citizens, government, and city officials by providing affordable housing with integrated business facilities, community social and recreational facilities, and support to those transitioning into independent living situations. These features will be encompassed in a sustainable redevelopment of a heritage building with a LEED certification goal of platinum. This project will achieve maximum community integration through extensive use of the universal design principles, which will not only welcome a wide variety of the population but also serve as a benchmark for future developments to continue to build physical environments that reduce environmental handicaps and enable independence.
