confidence isn’t what it could be, but it’s sufficient for now. New Listings in the Charlotte region increased 22.2 percent to 4,102. Pending Sales were up 25.3 percent to 2,822. Inventory levels shrank 9.7 percent to 15,570 units. Prices got a lift. The Median Sales Price increased 8.7 percent to $174,000. List to Close was down

11.5 percent to 133 days. Absorption rates improved as Months Supply of Inventory was down 25.9 percent to 5.4 months. There’s some evidence that it’s not just first-time home buyers fueling the recovery. Move-up buyers are also pulling their weight. Some babyboomers are ready to look for less space.
