Industrial The industrial land use category includes manufacturing, limited office, research, retail, and services activities. Research, warehousing, and other light industrial uses are also appropriate in industrial areas. These areas should be limited in scale and complementary to the surrounding area.

Public/Semi-Public Public, and semi-public land use includes City, County, or State-owned and operated facilities, education facilities, and faith-based institutions. Governmental uses include offices, public safety uses, public service agencies, surface parking or parking structures, and other uses that are government-owned and relate to the operation of the City, County, and local area.

Conservation/Open Space Conservation areas balance the protection of sensitive environmental features with the development rights of property owners. Areas of conservation are appropriate in areas containing steep slopes, woodlands, drainage corridors, or other valued natural features.

Parks Parks are designated areas protected from development and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department or another entity. Uses include neighborhood and community parks, golf courses, and recreational facilities.

Undeveloped/Vacant Undeveloped and vacant land are only designated in the Current Land use and portray existing opportunities for immediate or near-future development.
