I am Melika Mehdizadeh, a first year architecture student at University of Waterloo, Canada. Currently I am looking for four month co-op position starting May and I would be thrilled to have a chance to work as part of your team. As a current graduate student of University of Waterloo. A recent student from George Brown College’s BIM Management Program and a recent graduate from Humber collage’s post-secondary program I would like to express my interest in the Architectural Drafting, Designing and Technologist co-op position with your Company. As a young architect who is willing to become intern architect, my educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture and my recent studies in the program at Waterloo University have given me both technical and theoretical skills necessary for working in Canada in the field of architecture. Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, sixty hours class in LEED green associate credits, project management and Revit that I have gained through this program help me to upgrade my knowledge according to Canadian industry. In addition to these courses, through sustainability management which is still in progress I was familiarize with fundamental principals in all aspect of sustainability. Through George Brown college graduate program I am in the process of becoming BIM specialist who has a potential to become BIM manager in the future. Through these three programs and their teambased project, I have developed my interpersonal and communication skills, as well as improved my organization and time management skills. In addition to my academic experience, my volunteer experience at Richmond Hill Centre has given me the skills to work in a multidisciplinary environment where timeliness, is necessary to succeed.
