Deputy Secretary-General for Committees: Jared Barnsley Jared has been completing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at the University of Queensland, after previously studying a Bachelor of Business at the Australian Defence Force Academy. He has been involved in MUN since AMUNC 2009 and has attended many BrizMUN, SydMUN and AMUNC conferences since, primarily as a Director. Prior to his involvement in MUN, Jared spent 4 years in youth politics at a local, state and national level, and has held executive oﬃces at all levels, including writing amendments to Queensland Government legislation that were passed in 2007. Jared specialises in committees relating to his professional experiences in international security and transnational issues. Other team members: Samuel Porter. Deputy Secretary-General for Committees and Sustainability: Tyron Darnell With over four years of Model UN experience, Tyron has been awarded best delegate twice at SydMUN, once at BrizMUN, once at AMUNC, as well as Directing multiple times at SydMUN, BrizMUN and AMUNC. Tyron has completed a Double Degree in Law and International Relations at Griﬃth University, as well as the Australian National University Internship Program, interning with the Argentinean Embassy in Canberra. After AMUNC, Tyron will return to a senior campaign role in the Gold Coast Mayoral Election.
Deputy Secretary-General for Socials: Bonnie Richardson Bonnie is a ﬁfth year law student who has recently graduated from her Arts (History) degree. She has a passion for events management, negotiation and meticulous organization, as well as a wealth of experience to prove it. While relatively new to Model United Nations, she served as a Socials Deputy with the AMUNC 2010 Host Team. Having just completed one AMUNC, she found herself face to face with yet another year of organizing! She looks forward to a fantastic socials program that showcases the best that Canberra has to oﬀer. Other team members: Hannah Glass, Rosemary O’Hehir, Tom Alexander Neale, Sarah Nguyen. Deputy Secretary-General for Delegate Relations and Marketing: Karina Lee With a Bachelor of International Studies from Macquarie University under her belt, Karina is an Honours student at the Australian National University. In the MUN world, she is usually seen hovering around (or wreaking havoc in) the Crisis Council. Her involvement with the Macquarie United Nations Society saw the creation of JointMUN in 2010. Other MUN experience includes WorldMUN, BrizMUN, SydMUN, SAMUNC, the occasional mascot-theft and MUN-themed baking. Outside of MUN, Karina may be found reading Foreign Aﬀairs alongside Vogue, dreaming of returning to Europe and New York, or cartwheeling.
