Hitt Family information Haskel and Carol Hitt lost their home in a fire on April 25 , 2013. Haskel is in the UMC Burn Unit in Lubbock and Carol is in Ochiltree General Hospital. They have begun doing skin graft surgeries on Haskel and, although he has had some tough days, is doing well overall. Carol’s burns are healing nicely and she should be home soon. We are accepting donations of funds and home goods at City Hall. There are love funds set up at Follett National Bank and at First Bank Southwest in Booker. If you prefer, you can send your donations to City Hall and I will get them to the appropriate bank. There are plans being made for several fundraisers as well. A Golf Scramble Benefit will be held on May 25th. 9 Holes—3 per team—$20 per player. All proceeds will go to the HItt Family. There are many ways to stay updated on Haskel and Carol’s progress. The family has set up a website and posts updates as they have them. I am also keeping the City’s Facebook page updated with all information. If you’re not an internet person, you can City Hall for information too! Below are the links for the websites: Facebook — Caring Bridge — GoFundMe —
