BEFORE THE RACE 1. ELIGIBILITY All runners age group 1996 and older, runners younger under 18 years of age must have the consent of a legal representative. 2. REGISTRATION 1. Online registration for Coca-Cola 4.2 and Coca-Cola 2.0 only! The online registration form is attached at www.vienna-marathon.com/registration. Payment only by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). You will automatically be passed on from www.vienna-marathon.com to the registration system of www.anmeldesystem.com. If you are using this system for the first time, please use the button “register without customer account”. Your login-data will be sent to your e-mail address. You will require the logindata to print your payment confirmation, report to the insurance company etc. etc. th Participants in the Relay Marathon may use their login-data to change registration data until March 28 , 2014 on their own. 2. Personal registration at the organization: payment of the entry fee by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or cash. The entry from has to be filled in completely and signed by the participant personally. Registration form without signature and/or payment specifications will not be processed. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Registration forms with incomplete or incorrect credit card data cannot be processed which means that there is NO REGISTRATION even if all data have been filled in. Due to organizational reasons, money transfer to a bank account is not possible. In case of problems with your payment you will be notified by E-Mail from info@anmeldesystem.com . In this case please contact Anmeldesystem.com DIRECTLY by phone (number will be given in the e-mail information from Anmeldesystem) in order to clarify this matter. All registrations must be paid in full by one month before the event, otherwise participation will be automatically cancelled, race documents will not be printed. 6. CHARGES Requests for changes may be sent to office@vienna-marathon.com until the end of February 2014. Following information will be required: first name and family name, the event you are registered for, the assigned race number, a Visa or Mastercard to book the handling fee, the change you wish to make. In case of double registration a handling fee of € 15,- will be deducted from the amount to be refunded. Bank expenses caused by incorrect, incomplete or illegible data given on the entry form will be charged to the participant responsible. It is forbidden to pass on or sell the race number to another person (disqualification!). Your starting bib in combination with your name will be used for identification in case of emergency. Vienna City Marathon and OMV Half Marathon: For alterations and / or supplements to data given in the registration a handling fee of € 11,00 will be charged. Change of names is not allowed and will not be processed! Relay Marathon: If you do not want to change your registration data yourself on www.anmeldesystem.com by using the login-data which were sent to you after completed registration from info@anmeldesystem.com a handling fee of € 20,00 will be charged for alterations and / or supplements to data given in the registration. Change of Names is possible. th After March 28 changes can only be made directly at the registration desk. 7. NON-PARTICIPATION A registered participant who fails to take part in the marathon, for whatever reasons, may not claim a refund of the participation fee. The starting place cannot be transferred to the following year. If the runner passes on or sells his/her bib number to any other athlete, disqualification will be applied to the “buyer” inevitabley. Furthermore the seller as well as the buyer may be excluded from further participation in any of the events of the Vienna City Marathon. 8. INSURANCE IMPORTANT! Insurance for cancellation / withdrawal can only be taken out for the Vienna City Marathon and the OMV Half Marathon! In case of online registration you have the possibility to take out special insurance for cancellation / withdrawal in case of illness. Exception: use of a so-called “registration code” or use of a paper registration form. Details are given during the process of online registration. Please follow the link and read this information carefully! Insurance can be taken out for the entry fee only, but not for additional orders such as t-shirts, medal engraving etc. The insurance premium will be forwarded directly to the insurance company. Please note that an insurance case has to be reported to the insurance company directly and will only be dealt with by the insurance company. The case has to be reported to the insurance company until 48 hours after the event at the latest.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Immediately after having finished your (correct) registration you will receive an e-mail from info@anmeldesystenm.com with your login-data which you will require to check your order / registration on http://www.anmeldesystem.com/anmelden or to report to the insurance company in case of illness. If you wish to report an insurance claim, please turn to http://www.anmeldesystem.com/anmelden Versicherungsfall melden. A medical certificate will be required for upload. The insurance claim can ONLY be reported FROM THE PARTICIPANT him-/herself. Insurance claims, medical certificates etc. which are sent to the organizer will not be passed on to the insurance company and will not processed! Depending on the entry fee, the premium ranges from approx. € 3,00 to € 8,00. (Information as at June 2013). Please note that -in case of a cancellation - the entry fee will refunded from the insurance company and NOT from the organizer! A retention of approx. € 5,00 to € 8,00 will be deducted. Exact details are available directly from the insurance company by clicking the link in the online registration form. 9. ENTRY LIMIT The number of entries will be limited as follows: Vienna City Marathon: 9.000 OMV Half Marathon: 11.000 Relay Marathon: 2.500 teams Entries will be dealt with according to the order in which they arrive. Early submission of the entry form will guarantee your participation in the event of your choice. The organizer does not guarantee availability of starting places. 10. CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION 1. Online Registration: you will receive confirmation on your screen and by e-mail from info@anmeldesystem.com with the race number immediately after mailing the entry form. Please print this confirmation. Please check your spam file in case you do not receive this confirmation. This confirmation has to be handed in when collecting the race documents. 2. Personal registration at the organization office: Confirmations will NOT be sent, please check the starting list on www.vienn-marathon.com for your race number. Please take an ID card with you to collect your race documents. At the registration desk you will be asked to confirm receipt of your documents with your signature. Please make sure that your e-mail address and postal address are given correctly, otherwise it will be impossible to mail the confirmation and/or certificate. 11. REGISTRATION DESK The registration desk will be at the exhibition VIENNA SPORTS WORLD Vienna Int’l Fair (Wiener Messe), Hall D, 1020 Vienna. Entrance from „Trabrennstrasse“, subway station U2, Kriau. Opening Hours: April 11th and 12th, 2014 vom 10.00 am to 7.00 pm IMPORTANT! No starting documents can be collected on April 13th, 2014, the day oft he event.

Please take the following documents along to collect your starter package: 1. Confirmation of registration This confirnmation was sent to you by e-mail upon completion of your registration. Should you have misplaced this confirmation you may print it again (please see paragraph „Confirmation of registration“).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION This confirmation has to be signed accordingly and handed in at the registration desk together with YOU IDcard. With your signature you confirm that you will not pass on your race documents / race number to another runner. You are aware of the fact that the race number is the only way to identify a runner in case of emergency. It is therefore stricktly forbidden that you pass on your race number which serves as the most important tool for identification and security during the race. Race deocuments will not be handed out without the signed confirmation of registration. Would you like to collect the starter package for a friend? In this case the following documents have to be taken along: 2. Your friend’s confirmation of registration, duly signed by him/her. 3. A power of attorney to collect the documents duly signed by your friend. (Please use the form which is available for download at the bottom of the starting page on www.vienna-marathon.com) 4. A photocopy of an identification - drivers licence, passport, ID-card - of your friend Without presentation of the documents mentioned in the above paragraphs 1 to 4 the starter package will NOT BE HANDED OUT to any other person than to the registered runner him-/herself. 12. NO LATE ENTRIES AT THE REGISTRATION DESK Entries for the Marathon, Half Marathon or Relay Marathon at the registration desk are not possible any more! Important notice: If the event of your choice is completely booked out please note that for security reasons any race documents, which are not collected, will NOT be resold, passed on to another participant or changed in any way. 13. CHAMPIONCHIP / TIMING Timing will be done by means of a computer chip. In case you do not possess your own computer chip you will have to rent a DAY-CHIP at the accordingly marked counter AFTER COLLECTING YOUR RACE DOCUMENTS. Rental fee: € 5,- / a deposit will not be charged. Please note that this chip can only be used for the events of the th Vienna City Marathon on April 13 , 2014. th You are kindly requested to hand back this chip in the finish area after the race on April 13 , 2014. You may also purchase a YELLOW chip for the amount of Euro 35,- which you may then use for other events. Timing is not possible without a computer chip (please tie it to your shoelaces). The chip is not transferable! If you forgot to enter the number of your personal champion chip in the online registration form please report directly to the chip desk after collection of your race documents. In case you want to buy or keep the chip or if you require further information, please contact “Pentek Timing”, Siebenbrunnengasse 19-21/B/4, 1050 Vienna, e-mail: office@pentek-timing.at. 14. MEDICAL CENTER A team of various medical specialists will support all participants of the Vienna City Marathon with medical th th advice at the Vienna Sports World fair (April 12 and 13 , 2014) at any time during the opening hours. 15. VCM EMERGENCY SYSTEM Please use our VCM Emergency System to inform us about your state of health. Your voluntary information is for your personal safety and available to the VCM Medical Team in case of emergency. Feel free to use either our online tool until March 28th, 2014 or visit the “Ready – Health – Go” booth at the Vienna Sports World on Friday and Saturday. For your safety, please use the reverse of your starting bib to specify your health-related data if you have not taken advantage of our VCM emergency system. Please write down your name, the name and phone number of a person to contact as well as other important information like allergies, ailments or medication you need.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP PARTY „KAISERSCHMARRN PARTY��� th The traditional “Kaiserschmarrn Party” will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 12 , 2014, at Vienna City Hall from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Free admission to the party. Please make use of the opportunity to purchase a ticket for “Kaiserschmarrn” or “Pasta” and a non-alcoholic drink together with your online registration or directly at the entrance to City Hall. The costs are as follows: Pre-ordered / pre-paid, ticket for 1 serving of Kaiserschmarrn or Pasta: Euro 8,00 Entrance to City Hall, ticket for 1 serving of Kaiserschmarrn or Pasta: Euro 9,00 Ticket for 1 non-alcoholic drink including a specially branded VCM-Cup Euro 3,50 Pre-ordered / pre-paid tickets may be collected directly at the “International Friendship Party” booth at the expo th th Vienna Sports World (= registration) on Friday April 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday April 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. or at the entrance to City Hall on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. Please see the note on your race documents. Further please note that payment will not be refunded for tickets which are not used. We look forward to your visit! 17. VCM T-SHIRT You may purchase a special VCM T-Shirt in the user area on www.anmeldesystem.com. A note regarding quantity and size of the ordered T-Shirt(s) will be made on your race documents. Please collect your T-Shirt at the T-Shirt desk. Please note that T-Shirts which are not collected will not be forwarded, the money paid cannot be refunded. They will be kept at the organization office for approx. 3 weeks and will then be given to a charity organization. During that time, you may, of course, collect your T-Shirt(s) at the organization office. Special T-Shirt “Women only” Special t-shirts for women will be on sale as in previous years. 18. PRIVATE NUTRITION Private nutrition will be accepted for participation in the Vienna City Marathon only! Your private nutrition will be delivered to the different refreshment stations of your choice. Private nutrition for the FINISH AREA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. th th Please hand in your nutrition to the registration desk on April 11 or 12 2014 from 10 am to 7 pm, clearly marked with your race number and the refreshment stations of your choice.# th NO HANDING IN on Sunday, April 13 , 2014.

AT THE START 19. GETTING TO THE START The start of the Marathon is combined with the start of the OMV Halfmarathon and with the Relay Marathon on Wagramerstrasse. We kindly ask you to use public transport only. All roads in this area will be closed for traffic, there are no parking lots available. The starting area can be reached by subway “U1”, disembark at station “Alte Donau”. Please hand in your clothes – other than those you need for the race - in this area. 20. RACE NUMBER Only participants wearing the official race number of the races 2014 are permitted to start. THE RACE NUMBERS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE (disqualification)! The race number has to be fixed at the front, must be clearly visible and must not be altered in any way, in particular the print. FOR YOUR SECURITY

IMPORTANT INFORMATION please write your name, the name of a person to contact as well as the address and phone number of this person on the reverse side of your race number. We also recommend that you note down possible allergies. Please note that the starting bib does NOT serve as ticket for the public transportation serices. Please bear in mind that your starting bib combined with your name is used for identification in case of emergency. 21. REGISTRATION OF CLOTHES Vienna City Marathon, OMV Half Marathon: Registration of clothes from 7.00 am to 8.00 am close to the subway station “Alte Donau”. Please put your clothes into the plastic bag you will receive at the registration desk as it is marked with your race number. Please do not put any articles of value or breakables into this bag. The organizer cannot be held liable for damage or loss. After the start your clothes will be transported to the finish area “Heldenplatz”. Please collect your clothes by 4.30 p.m. at the latest. All clothes’ bags which are not collected after the race will be kept at the organizer’s office for approx. 3 weeks after the race and disposed afterwards. Relay Marathon: The popularity of the Relay Marathon is growing all the time. Approximately 2,500 teams will participate in the special event Relay Marathon. We regret to say that the clothes transport service cannot be organized satisfactorily for all participants in the Relay Marathon, as there are very big differences in the finishing times of the teams. Therefore it is not possible to organize a clothes transport service similar to that for the marathon where the trucks leave at a certain time so that all the runners can collect their clothes when they reach the finish area. We assume that the four members of a team will arrange a meeting point after the Relay Marathon to exchange their experiences etc. Therefore we suggest you proceed in the following way: The first runner (A) deposits his/her clothes’ bag in the start area in Wagramerstrasse, at the specially marked clothes transportation vehicle. This vehicle will be in the finish area at approximately 10.00am. When reaching the transition area at Linke Wienzeile / Schönbrunn, the first runner takes the clothes’ bag of the second runner (B). The second runner (B), whose course is from Schönbrunn to Mölkerbastei, hands in his/her clothes’ bag at the transition area in Schönbrunn. When reaching his/her finish area Mölkerbastei, he/she takes the clothes’ bag of runner 3 (C). The third runner (C), whose course is from Mölkerbastei to Meiereistrasse, hands in his/her clothes’ bag at the transition area at Mölkerbastei. In the finish area in Meiereistrasse he/she takes the clothes bag’ of runner 4 (D). Runners 2 (B) and 3 (C) could give a separate T-shirt to runners 3 and 4 to put into their clothes’ bags. This would enable runners 2 and 3 to change into dry T-shirts immediately after finishing their parts of the race. Please discuss our suggestion with the other members of your team. 22. PLEASE NOTE There will be no organized transportation from the finish area back to the start area. For security reasons only runners wearing the official race number are permitted to enter the start area. 23. TOILETS A sufficient number of toilets will be available in the start and finish areas as well as along the course. 24. STARTING SEQUENCE According to your best time given on the registration form you will be assigned to the respective starting block which will also be marked on your race number. Please queue up in the correct starting block. If you do not enter a best time at your registration you will have to start from the last block. Changes may be done at the registration desk, a handling fee of Euro 11,00 will be charged. Block starts will again be organized from both sides of Wagramerstrasse. The course has been measured officially. Therefore, disqualification will be applied if the athlete changes from one lane of the street to the other at the “Praterstern” (approx. 2 km after the start)

DISTANCES & HAND OVER AREAS 1st Runner: approx. 16,1 km to Linke Wienzeile / Schönbrunn (km 16,1) 2nd Runner: approx. 5,7 km to Dr. Karl Lueger Ring / Mölkerbastei (km 21,8) 3rd Runner: approx. 9,1 km to Meiereistrasse / Stadionbadparkplatz (km 30,9) 4th Runner: approx. 11,295 km to Heldenplatz (Finish)

ON THE COURSE 28. GENERAL The following facilities will be provided every 5 kilometres: official intermediate time, first aid, refreshments at the food supply stations. From kilometre 15 onwards and also in the finish area, fruit will additionally be available at the refreshment stations. Please start drinking early enough, especially in warm weather! You are kindly asked to deposit your cups and also fruit leftovers in the rubbish bins beside the course in consideration of runners behind you. 29. COURSE For details please go to www.vienna-marathon.com 30. DISQUALIFICATION Disqualification will be applied: if the participant registers under a false name; if the race number is not worn; if the race number is altered; if photocopies are made; if the race number is passed on to another person;in case of unsporting behaviour; if the participant is accompanied by a vehicle (bike, motorbike, car, inline skates and similar equipment with rollers), if the participant does not start from the assigned block, if the participant is not registered at the timing checkpoints; if the participant uses inline skates or other equipment with rollers); if the participant takes animals on the course, if the participant does not pass the course correctly (please see starting sequence). 31. TIMING CHECKPOINTS Unfortunately there are always runners who try to take short cuts on the course. In order to avoid discussions later on, checkpoints in addition to the 5 km time-keeping points will be set up. If runners do not cross the timing mats at these checkpoints they will be disqualified. 32. FIRST AID / MASSAGE First-aid attendants of the Red Cross will be positioned along the course and in the finish area in case medical assistance is required. Massage will be provided in the finish area and also along the course (from kilometre 25 onwards massage will be provided every 5 kilometres). Should you require medical assistance we recommend you try to keep running or walking to the nearest first aid or refreshment station. There you will receive professional help. You may also ask another participant to get help for you. Should you see a runner along the course who seems to be in a critical condition – according to your judgment – we ask you to inform the nearest first aid or refreshment station or, if possible, escort the runner to the station. If this is not possible please call the emergency number 144 or ask another runner or a spectator to do so.

GENERAL The finish area on “Heldenplatz” will be kept open until: Vienna City Marathon: 03.30 pm OMV Half Marathon: 12:00 am Relay Marathon: 03.30 pm Once you have crossed the finish line, your correct time and position is assured. Please keep moving after crossing the finish line, as there are other participants following behind you. A detailed plan of the finish area will be available on www.vienna-marathon.com. Behind the finish line you will receive your medal and a special blanket to keep you warm (in case of bad weather). Refreshments will also be available in the finish area. 34. COLLECTION OF CLOTHES Vienna City Marathon, OMV Half Marathon: Please collect your clothes from the vehicle marked with your race number. Clothes can be handed out only upon presentation of the race number. Please collect your clothes by 4.30 p.m. at the latest. All clothes’ bags which are not collected after the race will be kept at the organizer’s office for approx. 3 weeks after the race and disposed afterwards. 35. FIRST AID / MASSAGE In case you feel unwell, please go to any of the first aid stations to receive medical assistance. A massage service will also be provided in the finish area. 36. SHOWERS Showers will be available in the finish area, provided by the Austrian Army. 37. AWARDS CEREMONY Vienna City Marathon, OMV Half Marathon: The awards ceremony for the three best times overall will take place immediately after the race. Please follow the instructions of our staff. Relay Marathon: It is planned that the award ceremony for the winning team only will take place immediately after the race. Details will be announced at a later date.

AFTER THE RACE 38. RESULTS For results please go to www.vienna-marathon.com Results will be available shortly after the winner has crossed the finish line. Should you have any questions, please send an e-mail either to office@pentek-timing.at or office@viennamarathon.com Inquiries will be handled/processed until mid-May 2014. Please note that the complete results are available online and will not be printed! 39. CERTIFICATES AND RESULTS REPORT Certificates will be available for download a few days after the marathon on wwwl.vienna-marathon.com A results report will be available for download approx. 6-8 weeks after the marathon.
