OPENING Keynote Speaker Fabrice Houdart

Human Rights Officer, United Nations OHCHR (Global) Fabrice Houdart works on the Free & Equal campaign, an unprecedented United Nations global public education campaign for LGBT equality. He also leads a project on global LGBTI standards of conduct for Business on tackling LGBTI discrimination which are being rolled out in the World. To date 180 companies representing more than 12 million employees and US$5 trillion in revenues have expressed support for the initiative. Previously, Fabrice was Senior Country Officer at the World Bank where he worked from 2001 to 2016. At the Bank, Fabrice also managed a “Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Development” grant  which provided a first estimate of the economic cost of homophobia and funded  socio-economic surveys of LGBTI people. He has authored analyses on Yemen, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Tunisia and provided contributions to the 2012 Gender World Development Report (WDR) and the 2011 Conflict, Security, and Development WDR. He holds a B.A. in economics and management from Dauphine University in Paris and an MBA from American University in D.C. Fabrice is on the Board of Alturi, a non-profit organization devoted to elevating the LGBTI community globally and a Trustee of ICWA which identifies and cultivates rare potential by immersing promising young professionals in the study of a globally important issue. CLOSING Keynote Speaker Mayor Sean Strub

Mayor of Milford, Pennsylvania USA Mayor Sean Strub is an openly HIV+ pioneer activist who was elected as Mayor of Milford, Pennsylvania in 2017 with 54% of the vote. In the late 1980’s he co-chaired the fundraising committee for ACT UP New York and in 1990 became the first openly HIV+ person to run for a U.S. Congressional race. In 1992 Mayor Strub produced the off-Broadway hit, “The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me,” written by Obie-winning actor and playwright, David Drake. In 1994 he founded the award winning POZ Magazine, and in 2010 Mayor Strub launched the Positive Justice Project with the Center for HIV Law & Policy. In 2014, he published his memoir, “Body Counts: A Memoir of Politics, Sex, AIDS and Survival” (Scribner, 2014); and his short film, ‘HIV is Not a Crime,’ has introduced the problem of HIV criminalization to audiences worldwide. Mayor Strub currently directs The SERO Project, a network of people with HIV and allies fighting for freedom from stigma and injustice.
