Abstract

The cash flow statement paints a picture as to how a company’s operations are running, where its money comes from, and how money is being spent. It is important for a company to have an efficient cash management. One of the main reason for many companies are because of their careless handling of cash. A firm should have a well-planned budget and should be able to utilise their cash in a proper manner. This study is a attempt to analyse the cash management of The Metal Industries Ltd, Shornur. The 5 years financial statement of the company. Analytical research design was used in this study. Main source of is secondary source of data. After the analysis of financial data, it was found that the overall performance is not satisfactory. The is having more cash outflow when compared to inflow. The has to improve their liquidity and profitability.
