20th Annual Riverfest
Date: July 11, 2020
Time: 9 a.m to 8 p.m.
Location: On the Pedestrian Bridge, Tapawingo Park, Riehle Plaza
Wabash Riverfest is sponsored by the Wabash River Enhancement Corporation, an organization devoted to improving environmental and economic prosperity in both the Greater Lafayette Region and the Wabash River corridor. The Wabash River provides potential for recreation, aesthetic beauty, and economic development.
History 20 years ago, the late Chuck Weiss created Riverfest to draw attention to the Wabash River and its potential as a centerpiece of the local community. Complete with games and activities, like a 42-foot long dragon boat race, the festival was a hit among community members. The present day Wabash Riverfest is held by the Wabash River Enhancement Corporation (WREC) and continues to embody Chuck’s vision for the Wabash and community. Riverfest is held each year on the second Saturday of July.
