I used the website service, Elance.com again to apply for my second freelance proposal using the account I now have. I really like the way this website works. It sends me daily updates to my email letting me know of different hiring opportunities that I personally may be interested in based on the work I previously applied to. At first I thought these suggestions would be limited to children’s writing since that was the last work I pitched to, but I was pleasantly surprised at how varied the work was. From these suggestions I found the work that I wanted to apply for. The title was “Need witty, sarcastic, humorous board name ideas for new Pinterest account”. Of course, being a teenage girl, I would jump at this opportunity because it sounds enjoyable, which many things related to Pinterest are. But furthermore, I don’t see a title that should be witty as needing to be cliché or cheesy. I see it as a chance to be creative and think outside the box, pointing out little details that many may overlook and make fun of them or make people cherish them as they may not usually remember to do. There are plenty of titles on Pinterest and blogs that are simple, well-used and in some cases, completely exhausted. So when I read a title that is more abstract and makes me think, it warms my heart and it makes me want to click on that folder, because I know that there is a very large chance that the photographs will reflect that abstract and creative title. I admire people who are able to appreciate all things creative, yet can admit that they themselves need help being creative. Creativity sometimes comes naturally, but usually it is something that needs a lot of practice. This girl who is hiring knows the great opportunity for creativity here for her titles, and knows how great a job someone with more practice in creativity can do, and is willing to let them be that creative person she needs instead of struggling to do it herself. This is the major breakthrough that the whole freelance system works with. People lay aside their pride, in a way, admitting they are not the best at something and are willing to applaud and pay someone who is better at that something. It is an example of the world coming together as a team and admiring and using everyone’s specific skills to their fullest potential. Everyone is happy because they have the

freedom to choose their work and everyone is at peace because they are all doing what they are good at and were made to do.

My Bid: I grew up in London, England and am now living California. I am known by my friends for my story telling and my witty comments with humor that is half American and half British. I am a perfectionist who strives to have every element of work be to its best potential. I am an excellent communicator with a goal to add creativity to whatever can be made to be creative. I adore interesting, out-of-the-box home decor and I find myself constantly taking the time to think of perfect, more original titles for things whether it’s for pinterest or a blog or a painting. I am also an artist, and therefore, have a knack for pointing out design, structure and color elements which may be overlooked. I would be honored to provide creative witty board names for you to choose from.
