TEEN DAY TRIPS Glenwood Springs Rafting
Trekking China Wall
This 3 hour rafting trip will start near the Shoshone Rapids in Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River. We get off to an exciting start as we navigate the class III-IV rapids, which include: The Wall, Tombstone, Man Eater, and Superstition. Proper attire includes shorts, T-shirts, sunscreen, bathing suits, and sport sandals or shoes you don't mind getting wet. Bring a towel and dry clothes for the drive home. Pack a lunch or bring money for lunch and snacks. Parents must sign the liability waiver found at www.MeekerRecDistrict. com or at Guest Services at the Meeker Recreation Center.
Join the Bureau of Land Management on a hiking adventure leading up China Wall for the best view of Meeker. Along the 4-mile round trip hike, have some fun discovering the natural surroundings and exploring a few secret spots. Bring a backpack with water and snacks, wear appropriate clothing and hiking shoes, and bring or apply sunscreen. Some additional items that may increase your comfort include sunglasses, hat, camera, rain gear, and a sense of adventure.
