LET’S CHECK OUT “DAVITA” TEL: Born, raised and currently reside? DGC: Born and raised in Ossining New York, which is known as Sing Sing City. Reside in the Westchester County area of New York. TEL: Who or what was your motivation to go into the entertainment business? DGC: I decided to get into the entertainment industry because I’ve always had a passion for it. Dancing in the Kiss FM Master Mix, appearing in a hair braid magazine, coming in as 4th runner up in Miss New York, and dancing in music videos, I knew there was a place for me in it. TEL: The first major event, concert, show you attended. What or who was it and what do you remember the most? DGC: The first concert I’ve attended was Jay Z’s and what I remembered the most was his amazing performance and how he always delivered for his fans and audience. He’s the definition of hip-hop to me. TEL: Name several of your favorite artists growing up. DGC: My favorite artist growing up was Slick Rick Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, just to name a few. TEL: Given your constant exposure to music and entertainment. What changes need to be made in the industry? DGC: We need old school music to be played on these radio stations on a regular basis. We need them to be in music videos when “new” artist are sampling their music. We need artists to not make it because of who they know but of the talent they have.
