By examining the actual progress made to date by a range of key cities in regenerating their waterfronts, WaterfrontExpo 2011 will draw on their experience of building successful relationships with private sector developers and investors and examine how they are now building on this success to attract new investment. Officially supported by Clyde Waterfront, Dundee Waterfront, the City of Edinburgh Council, and Glasgow City Council, WaterfrontExpo 2011 Scotland will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on 2 and 3 November. The comprehensive programme is designed to meet the needs of city authorities, development agencies and waterfront professionals seeking partners and finance for waterfront regeneration projects and associated services, and of investors and developers seeking quality waterfront investment opportunities.

The programme The stimulating 2-day programme will include: ● CASE STUDIES: At least four international case studies (confirmed to date are Barcelona, Chicago and Marseille) and three UK case studies – Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. ● WORKSHOPS: Three city workshops covering Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow led by existing investors and developers. ● SITE VISITS + PRESENTATIONS: Site visits to the Edinburgh and Clyde waterfronts; The Dundee Waterfront Show – the role of culture in waterfront regeneration.
