Kleine, grosse Festival-City Little Big Festival City
KKL LUZERN Das KKL Luzern, ein Wahrzeichen der Stadt Luzern, ist nach den Plänen des Stararchitekten Jean Nouvel zwischen 1995 und 2000 entstanden. Das charakteristische Kennzeichen ist das weit ausladende Dach, das über dem Bau zu schweben scheint. Das Besondere daran: Die Unterseite besteht aus 2000 Aluminiumplatten, worin sich der See mit den Schiffen, die Farben und die Lichtspiele der Umgebung spiegeln. Das KKL Luzern ist in seiner Art unübertroffen und vor allem für die hervorragende Akustik seiner Konzertsäle bekannt. Daneben finden hier auch Kongresse statt und Gäste aus aller Welt lassen sich kulinarisch verwöhnen. Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne (KKL) The Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne (KKL) was designed by the French star architect Jean Nouvel and built between 1995 and 2000. Its characteristic hallmark is the expansive, overhanging roof that lends it the appearance of hovering over the building. The roof’s distinctive feature is the soffit clad with 2000 aluminium panels, which reflect the lake and the boats as well as the colours and light dancing off its exterior. The KKL Lucerne is unrivalled among its peers and particularly recognised for the excellent acoustics of its concert halls. Congresses are also held here and guests from all over the world enjoy sampling the centre’s culinary delights.

Luzern ist mehr als Uhren, Schokolade und Käse. Die Stadt mit gerade mal 75’000 Einwohnern, der wunderschönen Lage am See, ihrem unvergleichlichen Charme und der architektonischen Vielfalt hat sich über die Jahre einen Namen als FestivalCity gemacht. Ein Prozess, der seine Ursprünge im 19. Jahrhundert findet und bis heute andauert.
Lucerne is much more than watches, chocolate and cheese. This city with a population of just 75,000, a beautiful lakeside location, incomparable charm and architectural diversity has made a name for itself over the years as a festival city, a process that has its roots in the 19th century and continues today.
Vielzahl an Veranstaltungen Im Jahre 2010 zählte die Stadt Luzern mehr als eine Million Logiernächte. Und das nicht nur der Kapellbrücke und den hübschen Restaurants wegen, sondern auch dank der Vielzahl an kulturellen Veranstaltungen. Um nur ein paar grosse Namen zu nennen: Das Blue Balls Festival, welches 1992 mit 300 Besuchern auf einem historischen Dampfschiff gestartet ist, zählt heute mit über 100’000 Besuchern zu den grössten Festivals der Schweiz.
