HANOVER – The Hanover County Sheriff ’s Office will be hosting its 31st session of the Citizens Police Academy from Sept. 10 through Nov. 12. The academy will be held every Tuesday between the hours of 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. at the Sheriff ’s Office. There will be no cost for the participants. The program is available to Hanover residents, business owners, or employees who are at least 21 years of age. Applicants must be willing to submit to a background check.
