LIMASSOL DEL MAR EVENT 6th October 2017

Foundation stone unveiled in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus Yesterday, (6th October 2017) the foundation stone of Limassol Del Mar, a landmark development in Limassol, was unveiled in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus and other prominent international and local personalities. The event’s schedule began with a blessing from the Bishop of Amathus, Nicholas.

Following the blessing, Mr. Michalis D. Zavos, Chief Executive Officer of the D. Zavos Group and Director of the Cypeir Properties Ltd, referred to the importance of the government’s and all political parties’ contribution to the project, by bolstering and repairing the Cypriot economy, by making accurate and immediate decisions. Mr Zavos did not neglect to thank the guests and the members of the authorities for their attendance and support. In conclusion, Mr Zavos highlighted the importance of joint venture projects for the promotion and expansion of both Limassol and the country, in general.

Subsequently, the foundation stone was revealed by the President of the Republic of Cyprus in the presence of the Messrs. Michalakis Leptos, Dimitrakis Zavos, Pantelis Leptos, Michalis Zavos and Giorgos Leptos, who are the members of the leading team of the Leptos and Zavos Group Consortium. The event was completed with a spectacular show, which included 4D screenings on a 240m²screen, which was specially constructed for the evening. The unique atmosphere of the event flawlessly shaped the image of Limassol Del Mar as envisioned by its creator, John Dawes.

In turn, Mr. Pantelis Leptos, Deputy Chairman of the Leptos Group of Companies and Director of Cypeir Properties Ltd, noted that the whole project is a purely Cypriot private initiative and stressed that the close collaboration of the two groups highlights that a small country is capable of delivering large-scale projects. At the same time, Mr. Leptos emphasized that the project increased potential for large investment from overseas, whilst emphasizing that the sales of Phase I are now almost 100% sold.

Ms. Eleftheria Voskaridou, Marketing Director of Limassol Del Mar, expressed her delight on behalf of the whole group, who have worked hard during these past months to make this event a reality. Special thanks were given to the Cypriot composer Kostas Kakoyiannis, who created the musical arrangement of the presentation, which included originally-composed music specifically dedicated to Limassol Del Mar, as well as to the musician Rodos Panagiotou.

The speeches of the event were concluded with the greeting of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Anastasiades, who expressed his satisfaction on the fact that the Limassol Del Mar project provides a refreshing addition to the Cypriot economy and at the same time promotes the island abroad while attracting significant investment and quality tourism.
