MATTY BOY Q&A

iternative Fitness Model Matty Boy Inked is more than just a body of work. When he’s not working in the HVAC fields or at the gym he can be found as a face of Ominous Clothing out of Arizona as well as an in demand tattoo model. From portfolio,to clothing lines to print work it’s not hard to see why he is one artist to watch. We interviewed him and talked tattoo’s,his roots, and more behind the name “Matty Boy Inked”

What are some random things people maybe don’t know about you? The biggest thing that surprises people the most, is my love for Country Music. People usually categorize as some “Bad Boy”, but once they get to know me they realize I’m just a big “Teddy Bear”.

At what age was your first tattoo and what was it?

I got my first tattoo when I was 16 years old. It is the iron cross on my right shoulder. I got the idea from a “No Fear” t-shirt my brother bought me that I wore everywhere.

What are some things your tattoo’s represent? I think my tattoos tell the story of my life. Every tattoo I’ve gotten, reminds me of an exact moment of my life. I have one specific tattoo that means a lot to me, and it is the matching one I got with my mom. It was her first tattoo at the age of sixtynine. It is of a sparrow with a banner that has her name and birth date in it, and her tattoo has mine.

What made you want to get into the industry? I got into tattoo modeling when I was posted on The Inked Boys page on Facebook. I sent them one of my photos to see if they would post it, and they did. After that, my personal page started to blow up with people requesting to see more of me. That’s when I decided to create a separate Facebook page under “Matty Boy Inked”. Who or what would you say inspires you the most?

I would have to say my fans inspire me the most. I am really big into inspirational and motivational quotes. I started posting the quotes that inspired me the most, and the response I would get from my fans made me realize I was actually making a difference in people lives. This is what keeps me motivated.

in 10 years where do you picture your life and body of work?

Well, in ten years, I picture my self 90% covered in tattoos. I would like to open up my own tattoo shop one day. I honestly just want to live a life that everyone dreams . 10

In three words how would you describe yourself? Motivational, Compassionate, and Entertaining.

What did you aspire to be when you were a kid? I had a big love affair for action movies when I was a kid. So, I spent a lot of my childhood dreaming of being just like the characters in these movies. Pretty much just a typical childhood dream. What is a motto you live by? Favorite Quote?

Favorite Motto: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” Favorite Quote:“Every Sinner has a future, every saint has a past.”

Have you had to travel much to pursue other opportunities? Before Modeling, I moved from Denver, Colorado to Tempe, Arizona to better myself in my career, which then led to modeling.
