Human Resource Management (HRM) involves all management decisions and practices that directly affect or influence the people or human resources, who work for the organization. HRM is comprised of the staffing, development, motivation and maintenance functions. Each of these functions, however, is affected by external influences. HRM is responsible for the people dimension of the organization. It is responsible for hiring competent people, training them, helping them perform at high levels, and providing mechanisms to ensure that these employees maintain their productive affiliation with the organization. Human resource is the blood stream of an organization.
