Efficient workshop chargers

Providing an efficient and quality charge, the Powervolt 7 stage battery chargers are essential for effectively charging and maintaining a battery.

With a 5A and 1.5A option, both chargers can effectively charge lead acid, calcium, GEL/ AGM, lithium LiFePo4 and sodium batteries, depending on the size of your battery. The 5A model can charge batteries sized 180-600 CCA, 250-750 MCA or 30-100Ah, with the 1.5A model suiting smaller batteries including 50-150 CCA, 70-210 MCA or 8-25Ah.

The charger uses a microprocessor over seven stages to efficiently charge and maintain your battery. The first stage, Diagnosis, determines if the battery is defective, then Pre-Charge uses a low voltage and current to improve electrolytic consistency. It will move to Soft-Start by increasing voltage at a rate to reduce heat and gasses, then Bulk Charge provides a constant voltage over three phases to fully charge while enhancing battery life. Stage 5 is Absorption which provides the highest voltage and will move into a final Analysis stage to determine discharge rate. The final stage is Maintain which monitors battery voltage and will automatically revert back to Stage 5 when the voltage drops to 12.8V or 13.1V for LiFePO4.

Includes alligator clamps for a secure battery terminal connection, as well as quick connect ring terminals. These terminal rings are for securing the charging cable in place if the clamps aren’t providing a secure enough connection. For batteries with difficult access, install the quick connect charger cable (sold separately) to the battery terminals and then connect to the charger rather than struggling with using the clamps in a tight spot.
