Job Description: Your position on the team: McLemore Luong is seeking a Project Architect/Project Manager professional who can confidently lead a project from start to finish. You will be an integral part of our diverse team in Houston by contributing to all phases of projects while working with our talented production team and principals who value and encourage our employees. We gather as a complete team around our studio to take whiteboard sketches to production documents using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Enscape along the way. We want a team member who will participate in our integrated and collaborative design environment and desires the opportunity to help build something new.

What you’ll be responsible for: Applicants should be ready to take on the full responsibility of a project, from initial conception to final delivery and everything in-between. We are committed to mentoring applicants who may not have all the necessary skill sets on day one but want to learn and grow over time. Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills: • 2 to 10 years of project management experience • 2 to 10 years of commercial or municipal design experience • Ability to manage and foster client relationships as well as communicate with consultants and engineers • Ability to assist with bid and permit portions of projects • Strong planning skills with the ability to establish and manage project schedules and budgets • Ability to run multiple aspects of projects • Strong design talents, capable of developing detail drawings and project specifications • Performs quality control review of drawings and specifications • Ability to meet project deadlines • Ability to conduct client and construction meetings • Working knowledge of building codes and zoning requirements • Proven leadership skills that nurture staff relationships • Refined technical abilities • Critical thinking skills to solve complex problems • Excellent communication skills • Strong Revit, Autocad, Sketchup, and Enscape skills What you need to have: • Have a Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree • Previous experience as Project Architect and/or Project Manager on commercial building construction and interior projects • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tight deadlines • Texas license preferred, but not required • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination card • U.S. Citizenship
